What's the distance on it?

Thank you for your question. Do you mean how far away the lamp can illuminate? Short answer is it can reach very far. But as the power reduces over the distance so the accurate answer to your questions really depends on your purpose. What application are you trying to achieve here? For example, if you are simply trying to illuminate the things which reacts to the blacklight, such as white cotton shirt, running shoes with reflective materials, fluorescent ink... with the 50W UV LED light you can easily do that even over a very long distance. For a typical setting, such as around 15 meters (45 feet), such applications can be easily achieved. Depending on how intense your application require the UV to be, you may want to set your LED lamp closer or farther away from the object being applied on. If you have a more specific usage in mind, I may be able to provide more accurate answers for you. Right now I hope what I have told you make a little sense to you.

We need a blacklight for stage lighting.  Has anyone used this for that sort of application? We need to light up an entire highschool auditorium stage

Thank you for your question. Our experience is that If the lights are fixed at more than 15 feet from the ground or if the area to be covered is more 400 square feet, to ensure the best effect you might need the 50W version. Otherwise this 20W light should work for your purpose.

will this uv light kill fungus

Thank you for your question. This lamp have the capability of doing so but this was not what it was designed to do specifically.  I would suggest buying the specific types of UV lights which specializes in killing fungus if that is your SOLE purpose. Also please make sure the lamp you buy has to fit the space where you want it to work in.

Does this tan?

Theoretically yes but NEVER try it on human. Because this is designed to be an ambient background light (for party, events), or to be used on objects only (art display, etc.).
