Good product but very difficult to see where you are cutting
Seems to be a well designed product except near impossible to see where you are cutting. Its clear plastic but you can't see the blade where it contacts the concrete. It does have a pointer at the front of the shroud but impossible to chase concrete cracks. Would work fine if cutting a straight line. It did fit my Makita 5" battery powered grinder and comes with a variety of adapters. I ended up cutting the cracks with one hand on the grinder and the other hand on a shop vac hose directly behind the diamond blade. Worked well capturing most all the dust/chips. I did about 150ft of cracks in a couple of hours. Went down about .5" then filled the cracks with self leveling sealant. Sanded the filler a few days later. Good results

Not ideal for tuck pointing prep
The device seems made well enough. Wasn’t difficult to attach. I had to use the spacer for the blade to clear the shroud. It cleared the shroud but was not centered. Wasn’t really an issue except…. In order to vacuum the dust and debris into the hose, the shroud needs to be on a completely flat surface. For my application that caused two issues. First being, once you get it flat up against the brick wall you can no longer see the blade and if it’s not centered you really have no idea what You’re cutting. And second being, if there’s any imperfections in the brick(which in my case is more often then not, a lot of dust leaks out of the shroud. A lot. Also, it doesn’t take more than a few seconds before the opening for the hose gets clogged. I eventually took it off the grinder. I’ve been looking for a better solution. I invested in a dust separator and a commercial vacuum so I’m not giving up just yet. I think for cutting or grinding on a flat surface it might work.

Worked well
Worked great on my Ryobi angle grinder. It facilitated cutting an angled groove with a crack chaser blade to allow for water drainage on a slab. The height adjustment and guide notch made it work well. Needed an adapter to fit my shop vac hose.

Be prepared to do some welding!
Absolutely useless out of the box, mounting clamp is way off on the base causing the assembly to be out of alignment with a blade and is rubbing on the plastic hood. Had to cut off the original welds and re attach so it sits square with the base. Check out before and after pics. Not worth the money. Be prepared to do some work on it. Amazon needs to improve product quality and not blame its customers for returns when absolute rubbish is delivered!

Just what I needed
A friend of mine who is into Granite counter tops was going to do me a favor and remove one section of the counter so that the cabinet could be changed. The plan was to cut an existing joint so that the piece would be manageable to lift. Long story short is that I had bought this HERZO cover unit for another job but when I tried to attach it to my Bosch angle grinder it would not go down far enough. The friend who came had another brand and it fit on his just fine. I connected it to my Dewalt 9 gallon shop Vac and he made a perfect dust free cut. I really like how he could set the blade height just right and also keep the angle grinder level using the flat area on the Herzo. That dust free experience and perfect cut was worth the money I paid for this.

Worked well
Decent build quality and a great price, especially when considering the diamond cutoff wheel is included. Worked very well!

A grinder shroud was recommended by a tile installer for cutting small format porcelain tile. This shroud did a great job with my DeWalt grinder. Good quality product!

There are all kinds of different grinders. It takes a little time to set it up properly, but with the proper vacuum, it works excellent keeps the dust down big time.

Overall a nice package. Pros: Clear material allowed guiding the cut. Fit my old Mastercraft angle grinder. I used the included inner flange pad. Captured most of the dust. The 'baseplate' would be useful on a flat surface. The baseplate can be used as a depth gauge. Nice feature. Came with a diamond blade. I haven't evaluated it because I already had one. Came with a nut wrench. Cons: Dust capture is spotty on irregular surfaces like a stone wall. I did notice that I could improve the dust capture by angling the grinder to 'nose down' into recesses between stones. My shop vac hose did not fit the dust port on the product. Luckily I had some rubber gasket sheet from which I cut a strip to fill the difference. This also held the vacuum hose to the dust port. Herzo would do well to address this for future units. Beware that you have tightened the unit well. If it works itself loose it will go towards the blade and damage itself. Unfortunately this relies on a pair of small Phillips screws. Make sure you have tightened them. Notes: Don't start grinding plastic away till you've checked all the components. On my grinder the unit sat right up against the blade until I tried it with the included inner flange. If it doesn't fit you may need to use one of the included spacing rings (clamping washers). I used one for my Mastercraft.
