The last one lasted 13 years - hopefully this one does, too!
My old De'Longhi toaster oven finally died after 13 years and thousands and thousands of uses, and I chose this one to replace it.It does a great job, comes to temperature quickly, toasts great, and is easy to use. It's a bit bigger than the older models, but it fits perfectly in that weird space on my counter under the cabinet and next to the fridge that's unusable for anything else! As others have noted, the design of the door handle means it doesn't open 100% of the way unless you have it positioned over the end of the counter, but that hasn't stopped me from being able to take things in and out, change around the shelves, etc. - all without searing my knuckles on the elements! The only thing I really don't love are the control knobs. They're finicky, not intuitive, and you can't get the precise control you could on the older models. I've learned how to work with it, but honestly, it's an overengineered solution for something that needs to be just a simple knob. But other than that, I love it, and hope it lasts as long as my last one!

Great Quality & Easy to Use
I love that this oven can be cleaned inside and out, even the roof. It also is well made and nice to look at on the countertop. I’ve made casseroles, tater tots, cookies, cake, and frozen pizzas. I’ve been happy with all of the results. I must add that my cookies cooked faster and my tots slower than an oven and traditional air fryer respectively. It takes time to get the timer and temperature control right for what you want to make. I don’t rely on the presets. I find the oven easy to use in spite of the digital dials. The instruction book is very good, and I refer to it often. I haven’t had any safety issues. I always leave the oven unplugged unless using. The heat does no harm to my cupboards or countertops. The price was quite high for me, but I’m glad I bought this oven. I have no regrets.

Good, not great. For
The body gets way too hot compared to my old toaster oven. Also it is very limited as an Air Fryer. So it is just OK. Controls are great.

So Far So Good
Received the DeLonghi Countertop Convection Oven today, it arrived in great shape and is a replacement to my Breville 845 that couldn't even make it to the 2 year mark, used the refund from the extended warranty to purchase this oven. Comparing the two ovens, the DeLonghi has a more substantial feel to it, probably due to the double wall glass door construction. The controls are different than the Breville 845. The outside of this oven is supposed to be cooler due to the double wall door construction (at 450 degrees top was still pretty warm), but they still recommend minimum distances be maintained. Was concerned about the Breville 845, the outside really got hot, customer pics showing items jammed right up to the Breville oven are unwise. This oven has two racks, the Breville had one. The fan on this oven is very, very quiet vs the Breville which is very, very loud. This oven has a light on while cooking, my departed Breville did not. This oven has a slow cook feature, however, it is not shown as a feature on the oven screen (it is in their owner's manual). Both ovens have a 1 year warranty, this is a crap shoot, the Breville only lasted one full year (plus a few months), if had not purchased the extended warranty would have been an expensive year plus some months' worth of use. "Once burned, twice shy", this oven may last years, but a bad experience makes one cautious, so purchased the extended warranty. My rating is expecting the best out of this oven, so it is optimistic. Not pre-judging this oven, that is up to how well it performs. Ease of use, is down a star because still learning the oven, but so far so good. Will update this review as become more experienced in using this oven.Update: Pizza 10.20.2018DeLonghi oven does not preheat and recommends pizza be placed on the bottom rack, cooked frozen pizza exactly as directed. The pizza was "almost" perfectly browned on the top, the surprise was that the bottom of the pizza (crust) was brown, the pizza never got "wimpy" after removing from the oven. Was skeptical on the lack of preheat because am a "control" freak, by today's standards (came up old fashion when it comes to cooking). But, their way worked fine.Breville oven directs to preheat, which is common in baking, directs to put pizza on the rack in the middle position. The pizza was almost evenly cooked as well, but no matter how I adjusted the cook time, never could get a brown bottom crust. The crust ultimately became wimpy. Breville is more traditional in their directions. Both times cooked on the bare rack. Like a brown crust bottom, so prefer LeLonghi pizza.

UNSAFE!! DeLonghi NOT helpful
TL;DR If you want an unsafe oven that breaks within 6 months of purchase with a company that doesn’t honor their 1 year warranty, buy this product. We were woken up a few times at night by the oven beeping. It had been turning on by itself. HOW UNSAFE!! It happened again in the morning at least 3 times. We unplugged it.Before installing the oven, we had an electrician come out to rewire the house and check that specific outlet. I was paranoid bc a toaster oven caught fire at my mom’s house. After the malfunctioning, I even tried plugging it into a different outlet just in case. Same issue. We bought this oven less than 6 months ago. We called the support number for DeLonghi. They said we had a year warranty. Great. However, they need a video of the issue. Uhm, how am I supposed to take a video of an oven that randomly turns on by itself? I have no video equipment to constantly monitor the oven to catch it malfunctioning. The rep escalated. The team said they cannot honor the warranty without a video. I asked about other options. They said they cannot help.
