Nice deep pockets for syrup, non-stick and best of all - dishwasher safe removable plates
I got tired of having to clean my little mini waffle iron without water and wanted a bigger unit with removable plates. I spent a lot of time trying to decide whether to get this Krup waffle maker or one that had interchangeable plates for making paninis or for grilling. I decided to go with this one because I trusted the brand and figured I could still make a panini with this - it would just have little waffle marks in it. I've used it to make keto chaffles and love it! The pockets are nice and deep for holding syrup. My recipe is just the right amount to fill the waffle iron. I like that it beeps when it's ready, though I leave it in a bit longer so it gets a little crispier. The waffles come out easily without sticking. It's nice being able to make four big waffles in the same amount of time I used to spend making one mini waffle. I LOVE that I can just put the plates in the dishwasher! Can't wait to have the grandkids for a sleepover and make them waffles the next morning. I expect this to last many years.NOTE: I depend on reviews when making my purchase decisions and hope this review is helpful to you in making your decision.

Almost the waffles of my childhood in France!
The best of the best. I have one same brand 7 years old and still working perfectly except the alarm that is a little weaker than some years ago. But I don’t care as I use a timer on my watch. I like my waffles all medium brown, crunchy outside and soft inside, to my taste it takes about 5/6 minutes. A tip to know if the waffle is ready no more steam should be seen coming out from the waffle maker. It means it’s cooked, but sometime I have a look and it still needs a little more times . An advice: never let the waffles wait inside the machine once it’s cooked at your taste , you would ruin them, take them out and enjoy them. They can be frozen still warm in a glass container and you will get them as freshly cooked if you put them in a good toaster on defrost and watching to get them like they were when freshly baked. I make now only GF by obligation and they’re are amazingly delicious and nobody ever notice before I reveal it. I recently bought a second one being afraid than the tariffs could affect the prices too much and they could be more difficult to get if my old would decide to be retired! The new one has a strong alarm and works as well as its ancestor and they are precious when more family members arrive and claim vehemently please make your waffles, please, please! So much so I ask myself do they really come for me or my waffles? 😅 oh! I almost forgot , cleaning is a breeze, I never put the waffle plates in the dish washer and wash then only using a soft sponge with soap and warm water. For cooking I rarely use butter on them but a good avocado oil that I apply with a silicone brush for pastry. Enjoy!

Love this waffle Maker
I love this waffle maker, I love that I can remove the plates for easy cleaning, I just use my dish soap and a dish brush to clean the grooves. I don't just use it for waffles, I have made omelets, hamburgers, I can fit 3 nice size burgers, the size you buy frozen at Costco, I cook them frozen from the freezer, everything I have cooked, cooks faster than in a griddle or a pan, no flipping the burgers, hotdogs, grilled cheese sandwich, boneless chicken thighs and breasts, I'm sure there are other foods to be able to cook on this griddle and of course waffles they come out great with easy removal no sticking to the griddle, the lights that indicate when the griddle is hot to pour the batter and there is also a sound to indicate when done, I have had this for only a couple of weeks, and have use it for everything I have mentioned and has been easy clean up. I do recommend this product

Decent waffles and easy to clean
I bought the Krups waffle iron to replace a Villaware waffle iron that I've had for more than 20 years. I have to say that my old waffle iron made superior waffles -- very fast, and the waffles were crisp and well browned. Lately, however, I've had an issue with the heating elements that caused the top to be almost burnt while the bottom was still very pale, and the plates on my old iron were not removeable for cleaning, so time for a replacement. I selected the Krups Waffle Iron for 3 reasons: 1. Removable plates 2. Relatively low cost and 3. Reasonably positive reviews.Made my first batch of waffles this morning. The Krups waffle iron is somewhat slow to heat up compared to my old iron -- took about 8 or 9 minutes to reach temperature at a setting of 5 (max), but that's okay -- I just start heating it up while I do other stuff like make coffee and finish final mixing of my waffle batter. Regarding the quality of the waffle, even on the highest setting (5), the waffles come out sort of light medium brown, and were not as crisp as the ones from my old iron. I only made enough batter for one round of waffles. In the future, if you want crisp, well browned waffles, I recommend leaving the waffles in the iron past the time when the alarm sounds until there is little or no steam coming out, even on the max setting. Finally, clean up was a breeze with the removable plates -- I am really happy with this. Plates are easy to remove and reinstall. Some reviews mentioned that the handle gets hot -- the handle remained cool to the touch, however I only made one round, and it's possible that if you make many waffles, the handle could get somewhat hot due to escaping steam. The alarm that sounds when the waffles are ready is loud, but not excessively so (my old one was much louder as are our smoke detectors), but I think that is a highly individual opinion. My husband can't hear it in the next room, but I can hear it on the other side of the house! All in all, it's a good product and worth the price.
