The taste is basically nothing, but I also follow with water and do a swish to make sure I get all of it. I have been a long time user of Thorne products and am really happy with this D3/K2. The quality is excellent, but I don't expect anything else from this brand. I am waiting to see if my levels come up, but I take this supplement three times a day, so I believe there is some benefit. I have seen a lot of people write about the issues with the dispensing but it works as designed. Tip the bottle at a 45 degree angle and let it drip out. Shaking it will only frustrate you and make a mess. It takes a second for the liquid to go through the dispenser so you just have to be patient. Overall, the quality is so high and if you have problems swallowing pills, this is a great alternative.

I bought Thorne Vitamin D + K2 because it came highly recommended, Thorne is a dependable brand. The liquid form makes it easier to consume, the only issue is delivery. The “dispenser” is the same as essential oil bottles delivery system which means although it is a precise measurement, it is very slow in delivery. You have to wait and watch it drip out into the beverage every time which is fine if you have the time. It’s hard to know if it works, but that’s where the trust factor comes in. Dropper is easy to use. I usually just drop them onto my tongue - just a mild oil flavor. But also can drop on food with zero added taste. I had a big improvement on vitamin D levels with just the vitamin D drops during pregnancy, but decided to try the vitamin D & K drops postpartum. No weird odors either so not a problem to take even with morning sickness.

The vitamin D itself tastes like nothing at all, but you have to get it out of the bottle first. The "dispenser" is ridiculously hard to shake anything out of it. I want to be able to just tilt my head back and shake the drops in, but most of the time they never come out. I have tried shaking them onto a spoon, but that is also hit or miss. The best thing is to shake vigorously onto food or a cup of liquid. This should be a dropper instead of an essential oil-like dispenser. If I can find one to switch it out with, I have no idea how much that drop would equal these tiny drops, so I don't really know how much I would be taking. As it is, I still don't really know, because the drops come out so randomly, and maybe 2 come out at once, I really don't know. I'd love to give this 5 stars, but the dispenser makes it impossible to. A 1 for the dispenser, and a 5 for the drops themselves.

Vitamin D3 is fat soluble and the fact that this supplement already incorporates MCT oil (medium chain triglycerides) that are a high quality fat and not a rancid seed oil, makes it a very good quality product for proper absorption.
