Great for around the house repairs, projects, etc.
While this is not an industrial grade roofing heat gun, it is a very nice DIY tool. I used it to repair a Hobie Adventure Island that had been damaged. Investing a couple hundred to repair a $6000+ kayak is well worth it. Bought the matching color 1/8" polyethylene rods elsewhere although I did just find some flat LDPE rods on Amazon. Did not use on highest setting and haven't tried it on TPO roofing membrane. It would probably be fine for a patch or two but not for doing a whole roof. I'd say that if you are in the roofing business go ahead and buy an industrial grade heat gun. If you need to do some plastic welding around the house and want a good tool, this is it. The tips are not the greatest fit but they work. As I said, if you are doing a little plastic welding for crafts, repair, projects, etc. this is a good choice.
