Easy read. Good info. A few nuggets and takeaways wrapped around what I’m already doing. Had hoped for more new, flashy, sexy insights and tips, but still found it worth the read. I’ll definitely implement some things. It was helpful.

This book is very good for two fundamental reasons. Firstly, it gives us valuable tips to help us memorize our lines in plays much more effectively. Funnily enough, I already used many of these tips, but in a very intuitive way. Now I understand better why I do it and why it works. Secondly, because this book moves away from those countless books on memory that teach tricks for memorizing anything and everything except lines in a play. I've read several of those books. They're interesting, but not very useful for actors. This one is different. Although the author talks about memory palaces and the loci method, this is not at all the central aspect of the book. The other suggestions he gives us, such as chunking and the various strategies for transferring from short-term to long-term memory, are very useful and scientifically based. All in all, an excellent book that you can read in an afternoon and which gives you memory strategies for the rest of your life.

Your technique for memorizing turned out to be similar to what I was using. Long and short term memory was explained well. The book helped me to be confident and reduce the fear. Good read!

These are great exercises, starting with a positive mind-set. I've always told myself - and everyone else - that I have a crummy memory. Not so fast!, I'm finding out in this valuable book. I keep going back to different exercises. Alexa Ispas makes memorizing lines fun!

This book lays out many tools to help with memorization and how to use them, separately and together. It briefly gets into the psychology behind the methods along with concise explanations. It includes a short section of what doesn't help. All instructions are easy to comprehend. Highly recommend if memorizing is a struggle!

This book is easy to read, engaging, and the author really knows her stuff! I thought I had 'bad memory' and I was very doubtful of her claims but after putting her techniques to the test, they really do work! A must have for any actor or for anyone studying. You really can learn lines in half the time. Amazed.

This book is really short (in the good way of "short") and it does have punctual practical advice that can be readily put into action. Also, it contains some solid explanation as to what to expect from your brain during memorization and therefore provides awareness to not self cheat during the learning process.
