Review: Nice - Good book Review: Too Small for Teaching Purposes - The book dimensions have been reduced and is too small for use in a teaching situation. It doesn't even sit on a regular music stand well. Too uncomfortable to use! The earlier size was better. Publisher needs to be informed. Thanks.

They have shrinked the size of the book so much itโs not readable. itโs a duplicate book.

Access code not found
Access code for audio not found. Listening to the recordings is essential to get the right feel of the lessons, so I had to return the book.

Nice contents, not so Nice size form
A Nice book but it was designed to be printed in a different (bigger) size. Due to this, the tablatures are quite difficult to read

This Book Gave Me a Foundation. That is What I Needed.
As one negative reviewer wrote, this is ok for the real beginner. That would be me! Picking up the guitar entails several choices: what kind of guitar, what kind of music, what material to use, which instructor? This book at least handled one of those questions well, and I am glad I chose it. Sure, you need a good instructor. But with one, and using essentially nothing but this book, I developed the bare basics of the guitar and am ready to now move on. In fact, it is a credit to this book that, nearing its completion, I now have several avenues that I can explore. Should I delve deeper into rhythm guitar and music theory to better understand song structure, more on licks and developing my soloing, or just learning songs? Whatever path, or more likely paths, I choose, I think this initial book gave me at least the bare foundation for going there and building on what I now know. I notice that the negative reviews typically have complained about the size of the print or the construction of the book. I do not get it. Sure, there were times the notes were a bit hard to read but, Jeez Louise, they are squeezing a lot into a particular area. Lean in close to read it, crybabies, then learn it and play. It is not that bad.
