It was a very good book. It gave you a history of voodoo as well as a very good understanding of some of the principles of voodoo. Not only that it gives information on different deities and provides practical steps for working with these deities and for practicing the religion of voodoo in general. Highly recommended.

This book is an amazing read!! It's given me a basic understanding of what Voodoo is, and where it kind of came from. I also love how the spells in the book have warning labels all throughout, showing that just like many other things, there are risks if you choose to go down that path.

Voodoo is something that has always caught my attention and I find it really interesting and was very curious on how it is done and if it's real. This eBook will help you and provide you a better understanding on what Voodoo is all about. A great introduction to it's history and a well-detailed explanation about it's nature practice included in this eBook. Rituals and spells are very powerful. There are several preparations that you will be needing for you to navigate these complex beginnings safely and successfully. This eBook will teach you how you can cast your very first voodoo spell and how to make your very own voodoo doll. A step-by-step guid on how you can perform a basic healing spell are provided in this eBook. Find out what these protection charms are and what are the most effective ways to create a basic protection charm bag. I find this eBook very interesting to read because it's well-written and easy to understand. Highly recommended!!!

I really wanted to like this book. In general it is fine, and the bit about the history of Voodoo is ok. I am just having trouble with some of the spells that are described. I think some of the instructions are not very clear, or seem a bit far fetched when it comes to the ingredients needed. You need a golden bell for a money spell. Ok, that's nice but do you really need it? Where would you get one? Protection Pour has black ink in it. Fine, but you have to cover your entrance thoroughly. Would it not stain? A Hex Removal and protection spell is in my eyes not a Revenge Spell. A Love Spell needs two different coloured candles, but you are not being told which one to light first. Then you put the name\petition paper in a pan and cover it with water, then you put the candle on top and light the candle. How would you get the candle to stick on the paper in the water..? Now maybe I am just too fussy, but I think if this book is for beginners, then it should be more precise. But there are a few good ideas for the advanced maybe, hence 3 stars.

I have great interest in mystical religions and Voodoo is one of those. In fictional movies, it usually goes with dark magic; yet the opposite fact can be found in this book. I actually did not read it out of ambitions to practice Voodoo, I just wanted to know and understand more about this religion. All my expectations are met. This book contains the history of Voodoo, a long one that we cannot accurately trace back. It also presents the Voodoo's nature, where we come to know the term 'Loa". For those who are interested, this book gives instructions on how to do the spells, healing charm, protection charm and so on of the kind. It is not to harm people like some may prejudicate, it is meant to protect. Interesting read, indeed!

This religion is also remarkable for its feeling of community and the sense of belonging from its practitioners, no matter which corner of the world you travel to.I find this book very informative and interesting.

Very informative for a book this size. Filled with basic spells and recipes but it would be nice if the author explained the science of why certain ingredients are used for spells.

I was looking for a good well balanced introductory book into the mysteries of the hoodoo. This book is just that , easy to read and written in a no nonsense style and provides a good introduction to voodoo and some invaluable advice on furthering your researches and involvement. This book is a very good place to start.
