Does this unit include mounting hardware for countertop installation? Do I need to purchase anything else to install from the box?

Hello, The hardware is included. Everything is in the carton and just needs your water supply lines to be connected.

I saw 2 dishmaster imperial four for $186.97.....#55 I want to buy one but you switch the price on me to $269.

I think the $269 was the price I paid. It may seem high but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" It is a quality product.

Does it have a backplate?

If you mean between the dishmaster and wall, the answer is no, just what is seen in the picture. In my case I have a stainless steel back wash on the wall that runs the length of the counter and sink.

Can it be installed in an average sink? We have a double porcelain sink from the 80s with four holes (two for soap). Need to know that before I buy the Dishmaster. Thanks!

We love our dishmaster and have just installed a new one in our new (old) home built in 1938. The main factor is you must have two holes for your water, 8 inch on center. Ours is wall mount as that is where the pipes come out. They can be adjusted for either wall or counter mount. If your extra holes are outside the "cabinet" for the DM, you can buy nice plugs.Good luck. I am sure you will love yours. I've had one for 34 years!! and wouldn't be without. Muriel
