Super Straps!
Having been tying down canoes, kayaks, lumber, and everything else for over 40 years, these straps are one of the greatest inventions I've ever found. SUPER fast and easy to use, they're just plain neat, albeit with one possible side effect which happened recently. Normally I cut them to size so there's not more than a foot or so of "extra" flapping in the breeze, but having just bought some to add to the arsenal to tie down a new canoe I wasn't sure what length I'd finally settle on. Leaving the full length across the roof and up over the canoe made for a run of strap that was about 45" long and right along the roof... the moment I reached 22 MPH the straps would start humming like a bumblebee from outer space! You could hear it about a tenth of a mile down the road! This is the first time I've EVER had this happen though, and I know cutting them down a little will stop it, as would throwing a few twists along the straps before inserting them into the buckles, but it sure was fun seeing the people's expressions all the way to and from the pond. For extra kick's whenever I spotted someone outside, as I approached I'd reach up and change the tension on the strap, which would in turn change the pitch of the screaming hum. People had NO CLUE what the heck was coming! I'll still be using these for everything from keeping my boat covers on to keeping the fleet itself on the trailer- they really are handy to have in both the shop and my vehicles, ready for those unexpected kayak purchases. Highly recommended!

Works for a boat
We use these straps to keep the lily pad on the back of our boat. Much more secure than tying knots and much safer than using bungees. I would not use these for cargo on a vehicle, they are much more likely to slip vs the racket style.

You get what you pay for...
True to the age-old adage, you can do better than these. A lot better, I would say. Don't get me wrong, they work... and very likely will continue to work within their listed load rating. I just don't feel I would trust them to strap down a kayak when highway speeds are involved, that's all. Fortunately, I didn't buy them for that. Instead, they will serve as a means to strap said kayak to a cart to help haul it from the car to the water.Ignoring the "feel" of the build quality, I encountered issues right out of the package with these straps. A fairly laughable design flaw, if you ask me. The spring which holds the cam closed actually runs through where the webbing must pass through, and yet no additional clearance has been afforded to the opening to account for both spring and webbing. The fix was simple enough---simply tapering the webbing end to an angle allowed me to pass it through considerably easier, but the spring still gets hung on the webbing from time to time.If you're looking for something a little more heavy-duty, I can't recommend the NRS brand enough. The springs (two, as opposed to one) are of a heavier gauge, and are recessed into the buckle (which, itself, is much more sturdy.) The spikes which grip the webbing are considerably "sharper" and the webbing is also far more substantial material. To top it all off, the webbing itself is conveniently labeled in length for easier length identification. Can't say enough about the quality of that product. Worth far more than they charge.

Perfect for my needs
I used these to mount a side/saddle bag to my motorcycle. The side bags I have came with leather straps and plastic tension buckles which are difficult and inconvenient to remove. The bags are leather and not weather proof so I remove them when I wash my bike. These quick release lashing straps were exactly what I was looking for to solve my issue. The quick release buckle allows me to quickly remove the bags without much effort. This is very convenient for those charity bikini babe bike washes at biker events. The packaging does not mention the material type but I suspect they are Nylon. I had to cut the straps down to about 10 inches for my needs and I was able to melt the cut ends with a cigarette lighter so they do not fray. The quick release buckles are designed to grip firmer when the tension increases. They secure firmly to my motorcycle and do not come loose. I've never used these to attach cargo to a vehicle though so I don't know how well they will work for what they were designed for. However, I suspect they will work fine.

Not bad, I am pleased.
Not too shabby. These straps are what I expected. They look like the picture and do a decent job. I am writing this review based on one day's use, so I can't speak for durability, however I don't see it being an issue.I am using the straps for my climber tree stand. When I have it packed up on my back I use one to keep it together, then when I am in the tree I use them for stability, so I can pull the upper piece down to the foot piece on both sides. It works. Not much else to say. I bought an extra pack to maybe use these to strap some stuff down in my truck, but honestly if you're dealing with cargo you're probably better off with ratchet straps. These aren't considered heavy duty in my book. I like them though, they have a purpose. Just make sure you're using the right equipment.

Works Well With Car Top Carrier
I've used these straps with a soft car top carrier for about two years now. The original straps that came with the car top carrier were mainly designed to hook into the door and not long enough to go through the car. These lashing straps have allowed me to go around the car top carrier and THROUGH my car. I haven't had any issues with the straps coming lose and have only had to tighten them as the car top carrier got compressed down after long time periods. No issues with the car top carrier shifting at highway speeds of 65mph. This is all on a car without a roof rack.Taken these on multiple trips over the past few years including an 8 hour and back return trip. The straps have not diminished in quality and have held up to all the mileage and weather elements so far. These work as they are supposed to and I would recommend them to others looking for a simple and secure way to lash something to the roof of their car.

Lashing straps 2-pack
I was looking for straps to hang my unfoldable wagon to my mobility scooter & these absolutely did the job! Strong & secures wagon tightly behind scooter with no worries! I simply went up under seat from backside opening & up through headrest then took the the buckle end I left on floor & thread the 2 ends together. Left some slack but enough to hold wagon in place & repeated with the same with second strap. Then proceeded to tighten each one bit by bit to where I needed the wagon to be. Easy to use & the straps do the heavy pulling 💪
