Q: Are these thick enough to use as a thimble?

I would think after awhile the needle would end up putting small holes in it since even though these are pretty thick and durable they stretch so it thinks the material out more depending how big your finger is

Q: I have dyshidrotic eczema on my fingertips. Can these finger cots be worn over a prescription ointment, or are they meant to be worn alone?

They are silicone lined so the ointment will not be absorbed into them but it will also not allow air to the site if that's an issue.

Q: With this stay on my finger if I was bowling with one on one of my fingers I use to throw? I only use my middle and ring finger, no thumb.

Maybe if you wore one of the smaller ones. I wear them on my thumbs swimming and they tend to come off by the end of my swim.
