Works Great - Easily Fully dissolves & is tasteless, odorless, adds no texture
This product is comparable to Benefiber but at half the cost. It is great and is wonderful. It DOES fully dissolve in water or any NON-carbonated liquid. I typically add to either my coffee in the morning, my oatmeal, or a glass of just water. In water, it will look cloudy for a minute or two and then look totally clear. One tip I would like to share: This is a BIG bottle- put a portion in a smaller, air-tight container, use that first, store the rest for later. The problem with this type of fiber is that if it gets wet, it starts to solidify into solid clumps that do not dissolve easily. The humidity in the air can ruin your unused product prematurely. If you keep opening that large bottle everyday, you introduce water via the humidity in the air into that bottle and seal it in. Depending upon your climate, this can ruin a quarter of the product. For me, pouring a portion into a smaller bottle and using that first solves that problem.

Just as good if not better than Benefiber
I’ve been using this brand of fiber supplement for a little more than two years and have been very happy with it. I used to buy Benefiber whenever I found it on sale, but even at its lowest price it still costs more than Optifiber, aka Optimus Fiber. I try to include the fiber in most things I drink including tap water, tea, coffee, smoothies, and in my oatmeal cereal. It has no taste or texture of its own. It looks a little clumpy when you initially add it to liquid but the clumps dissolve in less than a minute.Fiber is seriously under-appreciated and almost everyone has a fiber deficiency. This product provides an easy way to include more fiber in your diet but it’s still important to get a diverse variety of natural fibers from fruits, beans, and veggies on a daily basis. Many conditions that doctors label as diseases are the result of fiber deficiency. Many of the auto-immune diseases fit in this category. I encourage everyone to do their own research to determine if the medical condition they are suffering from is linked to fiber deficiency. This product has had a significant and positive impact on my life and I hope others will learn the benefits from it as well.

Works as it's described.
This product is intended to aid in avoiding constipation, by increasing the amount of water retained in the solid waste moving through the intestines. It does what it claims to do. The white powder dissolves easily in any drinkable liquid, or it can be mixed into soft foods, like mashed potatoes. I sprinkle it on my breakfast cereal. Be careful with carbonated drinks; it can cause excess foaming. When used in water it is almost but not quite totally clear and tasteless. If you use significantly less water than indicated, as in less than a cup, there is the faintest yellow coloring, and a very mild taste. When mixed according to directions, you won't notice either the color or the flavor. If you use it in anything that has more color or flavor than pure water, like milk, juice, kool-aid, etc., you won't notice any effect on either the color or flavor. This does not thicken or "gummy" the water. And, this is a whole lot less expensive than the name brand of the same thing.

I will not be going back to benefiber!
I use a fiber supplement daily to address a condition which causes longer transit times for me during the digestive process, which could lead to serious and even dangerous constipation and even "impaction." My gastroenterologist said that I could either take medication for rest of my life or take Benefiber (his exact words). Because of the immediate relief I got from bloating and sharp, piercing pains in my back and sides, I felt that benefiber must be a miracle treatment, so despite the price tag, I gladly ran to Sam's every couple of months and spent the $23 or so per 190 dose container (26.8oz). The problem was, and later became all about availability, so I was always concerned about not being able to get it. I said all that to say that I was basically forced to try Optifiber. As a long-time user of "generics," even back when all types first came out in white (later yellow and black) bottles, cans, and bags with black writing in the late 70's or early 80's, I realized that if the active or main ingredients were the same (with few exceptions), the "thing," whatever it might be, was likely no different than the original. Also, while frugal, I make sure never to buy imitations or knock-offs, because they are always more expensive in the end. That brings me to the this point: optifiber is not a knock-off, but the genuine article (wheat dextrin). The only difference from benefiber, is that O-fiber is less refined and has a bit of a yellowish tint; none of which affects the quality or effectiveness of the product. As relates to it being more coarse, I tend to like that, as one of the few problems I had with benefiber, is that it was too powdery and tended to leave residue on my countertop; plus, it was so light that I always thought I needed heaping teaspoons of it, because it never seemed quite enough would make it into the glass. Also, with benefiber, I would still get episodic stabbing pains from time to time. With Optifiber, I made it through my first 190 dose container (of 3 total at an extremely reasonable price) with zero episodes of pain. Lastly, though the coarser powder dissolves more slowly in water, I did not experience any clumping, gumminess, or any other of the undesirable effects I'd read about when I researched the product for purchase in February (2022). I tend to allow the powder to sit in water for a minute, before stirring it for about 60 seconds. With Benefiber, I didn't wait the minute before stirring, but that's trivial for me. Lastly, since I take my first dose of Optifiber in my morning coffee, and my second in my oatmeal, I'm not inconvenienced in the least. I recommend this product to anyone tried of hunting down Benefiber, only to pay twice the price for something that may be only as effective as Optifiber, and possibly even less!

Dissolves perfectly.
I have been using this for years, but never any issues at all. Always dissolves in practically every single thing, from ice water just brew hot coffee. And it’s cheaper than Benefiber.
