Rothco Survival Kit Knife - Ramster

Great knife
Originally owned the Buckmaster 184. Being young at the time I sold it for some needed cash. Foolish.Saw this knife in a knife magazine years ago so I decided to buy it.Very good quality and workmanship. Everything the Buck was but at a very reasonable price.Do you need a Rambo-style survival knife? Maybe, maybe not, but the cool factor is still there! Knife, grapplinghook/anchor, spear head, axe, club...YES!!

Great knife for the money.
This is a great knife for the money. Very nice Buckmaster 184 clone. I wanted to compare it to the Buckmaster 184 I own. The Buckmaster 184 is heavier, and more robust, and of coarse a much better knife that is USA made. But I would not hesitate to carry this knife. I will toss the compass and maybe the survival kit because they are junk.

Nice for the price
It's a cool knockoff of the Buckmaster. The blade isn't as thick as the original but that was probably overkill to begin with. If Buck was still producing the Buckmaster I'm sure they would have made the blade thinner by now as well. My blade came fairly sharp out of the box and the steel looks quality. The included compass is trash and doesn't point the right way. Spikes are hefty. The survival kit is trash as well. The sheath is nice and stout and feels tough. If you build your own survival kit and utilize the 2 pockets on the sheath for other survival items you'll have a very decent survival knife that will provide a good base for keeping you alive.

Must have if you’re a 1980’s knife person. Great value
I’ve owned several of the original buck master knives, and I have to admit. This thing is a dead ringer, quality is up to par. If you wanna nice piece of 1980’s knife history. Without betting the mortgage, this is a nice rendering of the original piece. Must have purchase for any knife person’s collection.

Nice knife
Surprised how nice this is. Not china junk. Almost the same as my old buck master 184.

About 30 dollars too much
What a joke nice novelty knife blade was rounded not even sharp there is not enough steel in this knife to get an edge compas does not work installing guards not enough room to grip I wear size medium gloves so not big hands. Must have had a pound of wrapping on it though great job there. Wire saw broke just straight ingredients out of handle fishing line super brittle.

Just like the buckmaster
This is just like the knife my cousin stabbed himself with in the thigh like 25 years ago. His dad took the knife and hid it. And we never found it. So when I found this one on the internet I bought it for him. And told him to make sure. It to stab himself with it
