The Beadsmith Copper Jewelry Wire

I was delighted to find this wire at such a nice price. Great quality. Easy to work with yet quite sturdy. I like that it resists tarnishing.

WOW! I was amazed at how strong this 16 gauge wire was! With finger problems I had to really grab hold of everything to get it bent well. I ended up putting some of those rubber finger tips so I wouldn't scratch up my skin. It worked really well and was a good price, so I can't say anything bad about the product. Worth the money and seems to be a pretty good product also.

I like this one a lot. I'm thinking of making it the only wire I'm getting. It's solid. It bends when you need it to not all the time like some of those airplane material wires. Those are always wimpy.

I was hoping that this wire was truly dead soft. I am just a crafts-person of 20 years so maybe I don't know. It's more like half-hard wire that is actually fairly stiff. It doesn't work well for wire wrapping czech glass teardrop pendants, it resists too much and I have a feeling that it will break the glass. I haven't tried it on anything else. The antique brass color is actually more of a coppery shade and doesn't match other antique brass beads and findings that I have. Maybe BeadSmith has it's own line of wire colors; not sure, but I won't be ordering other colors from them after seeing this spool. I don't feel like I can return it because when I unhooked the wire from the wire notch in the plastic spool, it sprung loose like a clock spring - and I don't think I can pull it tight like it was originally. I don't think dead soft wire springs/uncoils this much when it's loosened from the spool. It just lays there. That's what I wanted. There's nothing wrong with the wire itself if it's what you want. It's fine for what it is. Just the description was misleading.
