You'll need a strong grip
Bought this kit to replace worn spikes in my Foot-Joys. The old spikes were difficult to remove, due to dirt in the socket. Most were able to be removed with the tool provided. Some had to be pried out with a screwdriver (carefully!). Installing the new spikes was easier, but you have to use quite a bit of strength to get the all-important second "click" that locks the spike in place. Overall, the spikes look good, and are still solidly in place after the first 18 holes. The tools work as they should, provided you put some muscle into it.

Solid replacements
Solid replacements for my FJ golf shoes. Locking them in requires some ingenuity and effort but overall they’re holding up strong.

Easy to use.
Removal tool has teeth that cut into the old spikes. Easier to remove. I threw out the older tools, waste of time and strength. Easy to install spike with the new small tool.

Easy to install, but a struggle to remove
We found that the instillation process of adding the spikes to the shoes was very easy, but when removing them after wear it seemed to be much harder even with the tool.

These spikes fit my Foot Joys that are about 3 years old.
These spikes fit my Foot Joys that are about 3 years old. Old spikes were so worn out, I had to drill out the holes in the old cleats a little to get the tool positioned.

The tool makes removing and installing go smooth. The 2 pin tool is definitely hit and miss to remove spikes and this wrench is much better. Save yourself a bit of money and do it yourself instead of giving it to the pro shop
