Superfeet Hockey Performance Insoles - Carbon Fiber Inserts for Hockey Skates - Professional Grade

Great for Jackson figure skates
I like the firm feeling of these insoles (ordered the performance model). Took the advice in other reviews and sized up to a skate 7-8. I wear a 7 in women's skates, so the recommended size was skate 5-6 as they're based on men's sizes. Coming from the softer Aetrex insoles, the Superfeet feel more responsive on the ice. I have a normal arch, but Jacksons have always felt too roomy in the arch area of the skate, even with insoles. These fit perfectly and give my entire foot a point of contact. The arch support immediately improved my outside edge control. Since I'm not fighting to avoid collapsing inward, deep outside edges hold beautifully and no longer skid on strong landings. I will say that there is some additional pressure on the ball of the foot, likely because of the insole heel pitch. It's not severe, but it does help to lace a strong heel lock and ensure you're fully settled into the heel when using these. Honestly, this is good practice to begin with. I can see how skaters whose skates are too large would likely find these painful.

They really work!
Immediate pain relief! The pinky toe on my left foot had been getting mashed into the front outside of my boot on hard stops and was really starting to be a problem. I was using skip lacing to try and give it some extra room and even that wasn't doing it.The night I installed these I full laced the boot for the first time in two years just to see if the insoles would really correct the sliding. It did!!! Totally pain free! It also felt much easier/quicker to initiate turn in, change direction, and stop.Would totally recommend these to anyone having issues with foot or heel movement in your skates. These were used in my quad roller skates for roller derby.

Worth the purchase.
Works perfect for my five-year-old son that’s in a size 12. The quality seems top-notch. It has taken care of the pain he was having in his feet, knees and lower back. Very supportive and seems very durable.

Great alternative, with support and retains skate feel.
The hard liner is as close as one can get to a true orthotic without actually getting a custom orthotic. I put these in my new Bauer Nexus 9000 skates, and they fit great. The break in was fine, and I felt like I got more power transfer than the stock insoles.Obit the Bauer speed plate still has me curious. But for now, this us hands down an improvement over the stock insoles.

They work well!
My skates are Bauer Nexus, 9.5. I got the size 11-12 insoles. You can see that the superfeet are bigger than the stock Bauer insoles, but the arch/shape matches up to the Bauer ones/my foot. I trimmed the superfeet, they fit great. Stock insoles were so thin that the rivets underneath hurt my feet. Superfeet are thick enough to provide more cushion than stock but still thin enough not to make the fit too tight. They’re comfy and keep my feet in place. I have “Bauer bumps” on the backs of my heels and the superfeet don’t boost my heels up out of the spot they formed in my boots- which is great. Immediately more comfortable than stock, not like life changing where all discomfort is gone, but much better- very nice. Glad I got them!

Pain relief at last!
I’m flat footed and have intense pain on the bottom of my feet when I skate but after putting these in I’m nearly pain free! I noticed a tiny bit of the usual pain for the first five minutes but after that I really noticed just how much better my feet felt. I was significantly less wobbly and was able to to work on some new movements which was really nice. I highly recommend these.

Good for some and bad for others. Didn't work for me :(
I recently purchased a pair of Bauer Vapor 1x skates. You would assume for nearly $1000 the skates would have a decent insole and not some thin piece of paper they call and insole. Wrong. The skates insole was pretty much nonexistent and so I explored my options and came across SuperFeet. The Carbon model seems to be top of the line and the best model they offer. While they provide good arch support they forced my foot into some strange position within the skates that caused my ankles (both inside and outside, on both feet) to become sore and bruised. Also, on the front of my foot near my big toe, my result was the same, sore and bruised. I figured I had just laced my skates too tight or some other anomaly and I needed to wear them a few times to let me skates and my feet adjust.Every time I skated I ended up with the same results, bruised and sore spots on my feet. So bruised and sore that it literally hurt to walk for days after skating. I could only imagine if I was still playing semi-professional hockey and skating multiple times a day how this would not end well for me.I think these could be great for others but for me, they just don't work. Maybe I have strange feet but every other insole I have used in my skates or shoes has never left me so battered. So, in summary. Hockey compnaies, no matter what you pay for your skates, give you junk insoles.

Perfect fit - true to size - and they do improve performance
I play hockey twice a week and have had good success with these insoles. They are well made, run true to size, and improve the instep portion of your foot, providing greater leverage when taking full strides. When compared to my originals, the fit is substantially better due to the overall design of these insoles. Don't expect to be a better hockey player with these, but do expect more comfort and a feeling of confidence when you skate hard.
