Diesel Glow Plug Controller

A part for an old model, but easy install and truck turned right on. I knew old part was bad when the "wait to start" light in dash would not turn on anymore and truck would not turn on at first try. Delivery was late, but beats being out in the streets now-a-days.

Worked like it's supposed to. The only negative thing about it is that the original protective plastic cover will not snap onto the new unit due to the holes not being large enough.

I bought an Olson-Grumman 6.9L Navistar box van as a "movable Pod" years ago. It always started hard, even though I stayed ahead of batteries and saggy glow plugs (replaced two over time). Controller was always inconsistent. Weird on-off clicking, had to foot the go pedal to start. One day, no glow plug light. Arg! Installed this piece. Light on, then off, it just starts. Now. Wife does not understand my response to this $100 dollar miracle!

The controller looked just like OEM and installed perfectly. Worked great for about 8 months then once powering the glow plugs for the set time (roughly 10 to 20 seconds) it just turned off (quit doing the click-click), but we were still getting glow plug action. About a month ago it went to firing glow plugs sometimes. Now at one year it is totally dead.

This thing was great worked right out of the box truck started first try after a year of cranking and 3starers would highly recommend this for the price its money well spent
