The gel body is sealed to the hard head some way. The birthday boy broke his by pulling the arms and part of the seal at the neck broke open. I did not take more than 2 days to break.

My grandson loves these so I found some on Amazon and they saved me some money plus brought it right to my door. I think he will be surprised

My son asked for these for Christmas. I bought them and he loves them. They are good for playing. I will say that if your child gets rough with toys, they may not be for you. They have liquid in them and they can leak.
