Taste is too bitter for me

After Cafe Du Monde's price increased, I ran across this gem. This coffee costs less per ounce, and the flavor is just as good, if not better. It's excellent for Vietnamese coffee and cold brew. French Market coffee is now my favorite. If you like dark-roasted coffee with a rich, smooth flavor, try it. You won't regret it.

Good flavor and strength. I have the "Dark roast" option. I like my coffee dark, black, unsweetened. This has a well established undertone of chicory. Not strong, but it is there in the background. Probably best for those not looking for strong chicory yet want a bold cup of coffee with added baody (sans bitterness).I make this in a French press, and I need to use less that what I normally do with my coffee. Even then it is sometimes too strong. I dont often do creamer, but there are times that I use it to make this taste smoother--usually because I still made it too strong. I mean, I love my coffee ultra bold and strong, but sometimes too much coffee grounds to water ratio just makes it taste harsh. Need a balance.So overall I like it. Just a little tricky for me to get right. When I do, it makes a strong cup of dark coffee, with hint of nutty chicory. I like that the chicory gives the coffee body yet doesnt impart an tang or bitterness.For the price it is worth the try.

I recently was in Louisiana for a week and I bought this coffee and fell in love with the flavor. My plan was to buy a few cans before I came back home to Georgia but forgot to go to the store on my way out. So when I got home to make a cup of coffee I then remembered this brand. I usually buy Cafe’du Monde in which I absolutely love. But the French Market hits different. So I went on Amazon and found French Market and ordered a can. When I tell you this coffee is absolutely delicious. I make a pot of my off days for the house but when I got to get up in the mornings I make a cup in the keurig. In my coffee container I have mixed half Cafe du Monde and half French Market. The blends together are amazing.

I had used this coffee many many years ago to make the cold brew toddy. Back then this particular coffee was actually the recommended brand from the manufacturer who makes the toddy.So I bought myself another small, cold toddy system, and this coffee is really good in it. I have also used it when I’m lazy and don’t want to grind my own to make a nice cup of hot coffee.It is a different flavor profile than what you will find with any other coffee, but nothing wrong with that
