PETSTEP RAMP spells peace of mind!
Have a vinyl liner in my inground pool and a large Lab/Hound. Any pool owner knows that is a recipe for a VERY EXPENSIVE nightmare/disaster waiting to happen. PETSTEP pool ramp has been a godsend. Now I can enjoy my dog and my pool worry free. This is a solid and securely built product - very sturdy and I love the rubber capped feet for extra liner protection. When ramp is placed in pool, the legs take on water for extra stability so no need having to deal with hanging on extra burdensome weights for stability. I have a chlorine pool, so easy to put in and out of pool when not in use and legs are designed to auto drain water effortlessly. Customer service is beyond excellent. I had minor issue with one of the aluminum legs not inserting in the ramp during initial install. The legs are very sturdy and designed rock solid so not even sure how that happened. Called customer service and they sent me a replacement the next day. If you want peace of mind and a company who stands behind their product - well....here it is. Enjoy your pool and your dog - PETSTEP takes care of the rest.

Worked good
We purchased this hoping my golden with hip dysplasia, for who the pool was installed for, would get in. Nope, he won’t even step in a blue kiddy pool. But my other 2 goldens ages 2 and 16 months sure do love it. I didn’t give it 5 stars cause it sticks out in pool and I continued hitting my leg on it.

Not for Pool Use As Is
I put this ramp on the side of the pool deck and down into the pool, like the picture in the add. Trouble is, it's not designed very well. Every time a decent ripple hit the thing, the end in the pool floated up enough for the ramp to fold up in the middle. When that happened the end on the deck would slide forward, the ramp would turn on it's side and the whole thing kept winding up in the bottom of the pool. Fortunately, I didn't let me dogs use the ramp without me. The legs on the pool end of the ramp are perpendicular to the ramp itself, but the ramp is angled down into the pool, so the legs are tucked under the ramp, a failure waiting to happen. Sure enough when my dogs climbed on the ramp a few times, a few of the threaded inserts in the ramp popped right out.So,... I bought some nuts and bolts and ran them through the leg mounts, so no more of that threaded insert crap. I also bought a long piece of PVC pipe and two T's and made an outrigger. It's like a double "T" (TT). I forced the two vertical parts of the TT over the ends of the legs and left a couple of feet to either side, keeping the ramp from wanting to turn over. Then I attached the top of the ramp to the pool deck with two brass hinges. This securely fixed the ramp to the decking, while letting the ramp bob a little in the water without ripping loose. So, the ramp itself is nice, but I had to redesign the overall thing to make it stable. It's great now, but I'm not sure it should have been marketed for pool use. It's like they never even tested it in water.

Huge Issue With Corrosive Build-Up
I contacted the company about the corrosion of the metal parts of the ramp. In their reply the company stated the corrosion is due to the build-up of pool chemicals and can easily be scraped off. It did not scrap off and the bolts and hinges are very damaged by the corrosion. I fear I may not be able to use it for a 2nd summer. Not great value for $180.

Perfect for our Dogs
We purchased this pool ramp for our Corgi, Avacyn, and our Husky, Lily, and it's been fantastic! Both dogs took to it quickly, and it has made pool time much safer and more enjoyable for all of us. The ramp is easy to set up and very user-friendly, which was a big plus. The only issue we've noticed is that crystals tend to form on the legs over time. While this doesn't affect its functionality, it's something to keep in mind if you're looking for a low-maintenance option.Overall, it's a great product that we highly recommend for dog owners who want to make their pool more accessible for their pets.

Safety first for our pup
So initially I really wanted to give this product 5 stars. We love it and it’s amazing. We love how sturdy it is and how easy it was to step up.Now my only issue, and it maybe as a result from human error but we keep this item in our pool 24/7 as we don’t want our pup to have an accident outside. And the only issue is that the paint/ outside coating started to flake and raise up off the board itself. Other than that, we love this product but I would recommend, keeping it out of the sun and maybe only having it in the pool when you’re outside or in the pool with your pup to ensure maximum longevity.
