Seems equivalent to OEM quality. It’s been installed for around 6 months now with no issues!

I re-used the original cap screws. They look more like wood screws than machine screws supplied with the cap. That may have just been my application, so compare the old screws with the new screws. Just rotate them slowly backwards(ccw) until they drop just a bit into the previously cut threads before turning clockwise. That way you won't be cutting new threads into old brittle plastic that may break. The cap itself looked much better than the one I removed with corroded aluminum terminals. Also the cap has the plug wire locations easy to read to avoid miswiring. My truck ran noticeably smoother, but I can't say that it was only due to the new cap as I had replaced the plugs and wires at the same time, but I am satisfied that the cap is a quality component. UPDATE: The cap has gone bad after only 20 months suffering intermittent internal shorting and no engine starting. My understanding is that even factory supplied caps suffer the same defects after a while. The layout of the circuits in the cap invite internal shorting after normal operation, especially if the plugs or plug wires start offering more resistance as normal after time. The old caps that had the wires connecting to the cap vertically didn't have this issue. UPDATE Truck wouldn't start after 20 months of use. Intermittent short circuit between circuit traces in cap. Get a GM part with better electrolytic insulation properties. 7/1/2025

Cap was fine for my 1997 GM 5.7L but had to buy different router. Router didn’t fit properly.

Used to replace parts on my V8 boat engine. Fit fine. Work fine. Good value.
