Fantastic. Never heard of them before but my friend in Spain was recommended to purchase one by her dentist after she had some implant work done. As I use the same dentist and also had an implant I asked him about them. He highly recommends them as a much better solution to using floss. I must agree - I usually managed to get floss stuck between my teeth and/or make my gums bleed so gave up using it. Didn't take long to use Waterpik properly (thanks to video) - had one accident when I touched the rocker switch on/off button with my elbow - water shot across the room!! Possibly would be better to have a different kind on switch to stop this happening - but I do tend to have these type of accidents! I decided on this particular model as it appeared more robust than the battery operated one - plus the reviews were not so good. I think plugged into mains is always best. Tried it out first in UK in kitchen but will change the three pin plug to 2 pin Spanish -no problem there as I have plug socket in the wall above the wash basin. I note that Waterpik are now making a new model that can be operated from shaver socket for UK use so they must have been listening to the reviews from people. Be interesting to see how the plack remover performs over the next few month. Waterpik WP100 Ultra Water Flosser 7/5/13 - ADDITION TO ORIGINAL REVIEW. Product comes with 3 year warranty but have just been told this does not cover the handle only the base. Crazy as you cannot use the base without the handle. CUSTOMER SERVICE VERY POOR FROM WATERPIK. I see that another reviewer has commented that the handle leaked - mine leaked from the tube just before entering the handle - must be a weak point. Handle is cheap to replace but that is not the point. Wonder if this anomaly will be covered by the Governments new Consumer Protection Act! Have now downgraded from 5 to 3 stars.7/5/13 - ADDITION TO ADDITION. Waterpik have now reviewed their decision and are now sending a new handle. I now upgrade again to 5 stars. Thanks. first, i'd like to highlight that i got this product only few days ago so this review is based only on the first days of use, later on maybe i will update it.I had a severe pocket problem as i have a deep pocket covered with a crown so i used to use floss for almost 10 minutes only on this pocket trying to clean it and it always turned into a mess with a lot of bleeding. the main thing that maid me consider this water flosser is the pocket attachment. i must say that after getting it, i was a bit disappointed as in the instruction manual it says that i can only use it at the lower speed. when i first tried it, the low water pressure didn't manage to clean my deep pocket however my wife suggested trying the normal tip with a higher water pressure, and the magic began :)it was amazing, it cleaned the pocket in no time as well as the rest of my teeth. it left my mouth fresh and extremely clean. I never get this feeling except after leaving the dentist. it is awesome in all ways.next day, we had a steak for dinner and this literally equals a nightmare when it comes to cleaning my teeth the old way. i tried the water flosser and i couldn't believe it, it is like magic. in only 2 minutes am all done, done with the pocket and with all my mouth. i got out after finishing and my wife couldn't believe that i was done. it got rid of all the food jammed in-between my teeth in no time.the product size is also very convenient as from the online pictures, i thought it's gonna be much bigger however it turned relatively small and perfect enough to fit anywhere.i recommend this product to anyone who finds normal flossing hard, time-consuming and higher recommendations goes to those who has gum pockets and/or relatively big spaces between teeth, just like me.finally, and as i said in the beginning, i got the product only few days ago so most probably i will update this review later on maybe in a couple of months.

I bought this product after getting my braces fitted,and getting really frustrated when cleaning my teeth. No matter how hard I tried, and no matter what I used, I could never get it perfectly clean. I came across the concept of Waterpik at Boots, and after doing my research, decided on the WP100 model. It is absolutely phenomenal! It does a really thorough cleaning job, and after flossing and brushing, I feel like after a visit to the dentist.I had read all the reviews,and decided it was worth a try. All I can say is, this product has blown me over! I feel it has received a lot of unfair criticism. Granted, I have a sink outside my bathroom with a socket underneath, so the power source isn't a problem. I wouldn't say the wire is too generous though.I found it really easy to use, even from the first use. I certainly didn't get myself or the walls all wet, as was suggested I would the first time! I used the highest power from the first use- I didn't find it all that strong, but perhaps that's because I use a good electric toothbrush for years, so my gums are used to the stimulation. The water tank is a good size- if you fill it up properly, you should have enough to clean your whole mouth thoroughly. I would recommend using warm water though, as cold water is rather uncomfortable.All in all, I love using my machine, it has definitely made a tremendous improvement to my oral hygiene! My orthodontist has commented on it, and i'm waiting for my next dentist's visit to hear what she has to say- I'm certain it'll be positive.The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I find that even when the power is on 10, its not that strong- I would appreciate even more power. Otherwise, I'm absolutely delighted with the product and would certainly recommend it to others.

Bought one on dentist`s recommendation as teeth too tight to be able to use interdental brushes and flossing being far too tedious and awkward. With the help of various tips/attachments that come as standard very easy to achieve goal and good results and adjustable pressure setting helps finding a jet that`s not too powerful but efficient.Need to be aware though that as it comes with a 3-pin plug you need to have a proper socket (not just a shaver outlet) within reach (about 1 metre) that other people have also highlighted - this is no major downside just keep in mind before buying.HOWEVER, the one that I bought had a pump that started stuttering after a few days and following a temporary `remission period` of a few weeks it packed up completely (lived 2 months only) - Amazon were nevertheless great, the returns process was very straightforward and got my refund in a few days. On the company (Waterpik) website you can now only find the WP-120 that is identical except for a shaver socket plug - so I`m trying this next having ordered one directly from them...
