The main difference among types of fragrances is the level of concentration. First is perfume; then eau de parfum; next comes eau de toillette; and finally, there is eau de cologne. Obviously, perfume has the highest concentration of fragrances. With  Eau de Parfum, the heart (middle) notes become noticeable after the top notes have faded away. Conversely, with  Eau de Toilette, the top notes, the first scent released, are dominant. This makes it initially very refreshing, but then it evaporates rather quickly. Perfume is very expensive because it can have up to 40% concentration of essences. This means that the scent is released over a long period of time; therefore, much less is needed, and it is sold in much smaller volumes. Eau de Parfum contains up to 15% perfume concentrates, and  Eau de Toilette contains up to 10% perfume concentrates. One would think of Eau de Parfum as a bit heavier and long-lasting than Eau de Toilette. Eau de Parfum is also often used on hair and clothing; however, one must be careful with delicate fabrics as they could stain due to the oils. Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Eau de Parfum Spray is a long-lasting fragrance that is captivating. I keep it on my perfume tray all the time. I have noticed that my bottle of this fragrance is no longer pink. Like yours, it has turned into a light yellow. I am not sure why it has lost its color, but the fragrance still smells wonderful. I have had it for more than a year, and it has not lost its strength or clarity. It lasts and lasts, and I get compliments every time I wear it. I highly recommend Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris as one of the best fragrances on the market! I plan to buy another bottle of it after I run out of this one. I hope this expose helps.

Is the pink ribbon the same as being black ribbon. One is de toilette and the other is de parfum are they the same fragrance.

Box says Eau De Parfum its a higher concentration of scent versus Eau De Toilette . So the smell will last longer.
