It has an MP3 line in socket. It can be used to play back MP3's, CD's and tape tracks by connecting the line out or head phone jack and by adjusting the volume of the player to the guitar, you can play along with recorded sound

Can I connect my Marshall major 3 to this amplifier?

The amp has a Line In for 3.5mm stereo input, so if you have a cable with that connector, probably. I run a cable from my phone headphone jack into the amp all the time. It also has the 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
