Upgrade to the original cord because the USB-C connection
The audio cable is an upgrade over the original cable, with the headphone jack connected to a USB-C adaptor. When I use it with my iPad, I can control the volume. The old cable's volume control did not work when the adaptor was connected. The new cable does not work with my iMac. Not a deal-breaker for me, since I bought it to use with my iPad.

Works great for everyday use.
Works perfectly, but 4 stars because not the best for audiophile listening. But still works very well and most people won't notice a drop in quality. But it is a noticeable difference when plugging in headphones to these vs using analog preamp.

Useless after a few months
Worked for 2 mths. Buttons went first and are totally dead. Could deal with that. Now when I plug this in, my phone goes haywire. Songs skip around. Volume self adjusts making it useless. Works fine without the cord so its isloated. Cheap chinese garbage. DO NOT BUY.
