The coiled cable is the key improvement in this connector. With some other similar plugs, they seem the correct length until you change the position of the bike rack, and the plug disconnects due to excessive tension. The coiled length of cable gives you some give when you need it, and retracts when the rack returns to the closer position. Highly recommend.

Do you need an extension that can extend to reach those recessed hitch plugs??? Then grab one of these baby’s! It really worked well for my 4Runner, considering the plug is up underneath the bumper. It also has a nifty light to show that all of your bulbs are functioning… helped me realize one of mine was out! Great product!

The cord was perfect for my use, but while it might be the advertised 3 foot length, the effective length is more like 2 feet. Again, worked perfectly for me

Very well built. I needed and extender for our 2018 Toyota 4Runner. Toyota located the trailer plug in off to the right of the hitch and I didn't want the risk of breaking my trailer wires. Heavy duty insulation on the wire extensions. Tight fitting caps for both ends.

I had a homemade extender that worked... but the wires kept getting damaged. This is PERFECT. If you need an extension... look no further.

Keep in mind that the coil is stiff and will create excessive tension on each plug end. I bought the 3' size and the length fit okay, but it had too much pulling tension on the plugs. It's better to only have the coil there IF it's needed for turns etc. The longer (5' size) will STILL be short when installed, and it will still hold the extension cord up in a short application.

bought this for a friend who recently put a flat bed on his truck and the trailer connector was to far under bed. its been 4 years or so when it came in i plugged it in and left it there it hasn't had any issue connecting to a trailer or with the lights not working. was expecting to have to replace this every year or 2.

Strongly built, does the job as it should. I wanted an extension that would stay out of the trunk for the winter, because the barn doors of my truck get stuck frozen with snow and icy rain.So I needed this kind of extension to be "sacrificed" to the winter, and so far so good. Holds in place, and the cover is keep the plug protected from the elements when not in use.

for my little open deck trailer this is exactly what I needed, had to trim just a little amount of plastic as it wouldn't plug in but did so and it worked perfect still a fit
