Great product - Look forward to seeing how it holds up over time!
After reading so many of the less than favorable reviews, and having worked with epoxies for woodworking, we decided to give this product a go. The product arrived quickly, the cans were clearly marked "A" and "B", and clear instructions were provided in the box. The color was clearly labeled, and was correct when we opened the can as well. We have a outdoor birdbath/pond (~10' by 3', 1' deep) that a relative had build back in the late 60's, and which was now leaking. We had tried mortar, hydraulic cement and other wildlife friendly products to no avail. We read the instructions several times to ensure we know the process and decided to use 91% isopropyl alcohol to thin the epoxy for an easier application on the ruff surfaces - we did sweep and clean the pond, then used muriatic acid to etch the surfaces as instructed, then rinsed and let the pond dry out. We began the process in the cool morning to ensure we preserved the "pot time" of the epoxy. We planned to mix the epoxy in three batches, and after measuring into plastic paint pales with measurements printed on the outside, we mixed the components in order, per the instructions and mixed for for just under 2 minutes before pouring the epoxy from the mix pale onto the pond surface. We used an inexpensive, synthetic brush that we had cut down (that was a small challenge) to spread the epoxy and work our way down the pond length, covering the sides and bottom. Each of the three epoxy batches began to thicken in ~25 minutes - the isopropyl alcohol was a recommend "add" for our application and size of surface area. We ended up having to order a second epoxy set as we were not able to get the final 2 sq feet, but we did have a rough surface (aggregate cement bottom) and several cracks absorbed more epoxy than we expected - they likely should have been caulked with a compatible material. After letting the epoxy cure for nearly 36 hours, we filled the pond and it looks great. And the wildlife were using it within 24 hours. I'll update this in the future to see how this holds up.

Good material, bad packaging
This is good stuff. As i wanted, it's very thick. Does not run which just what you need to paint with epoxy. The can seal is not good. It it's very frustrating to remove. There are no hints in how to remove. I cut it off but desired the can in the process. But don't need the can if you use it all as i did. The stuff is so thick it does not pour out of the can. It's like a blizzard. It should come in a squeezable bag or something.

Updated instructions
I did a 2x2x6 stock tank with 2 of these and it worked out well. The instructions have you sand, vinegar and prime the galvanized coating and that went as expected(I used a flapper disc on my angle grinder after a hand sander made little progress) the updated instructions are different than whatโs posted here. It says not to use rustoleum self etching primer but I followed the instructions here while I waited for the product to arrive so I was stuck. I was worried after the first mixing came out a bit spotty once applied (I alcohol thinned this one) but the second coat covered well without thinning. I used a 4in foam roller and it was destroyed quickly so I switched for the second coat. It dried great overnight and stuck well to the surface so far. Dries hard and looks like it will work out well.

First order was great, but my next order not so much
So, when I received the first shipment of this product the total volume was as described. It is a little stressful to put on as you have a limited time to apply it. I had to order another 1.5q because it was not enough to coat my pond. The second delivery had half the product in it. Even mixing the 2 cans together did not equate 1.5q. Hopefully itโs enough to cover the rest of my pond. Also the product is really thick and after 10mins it gets more difficult to apply.

Transformed my cold plunge trough
My cold plunge trough now feels like a premium product when I get in it. The galvanized trough seemed to interact with the water making it hazy within a couple weeks. Hoping this makes my water along with my other water treatment in place to extend the time between water changes. Added a thin last coat with sand sprinkled on it as recommended in their FAQ. The bottom now has a bonus of a nonslip surface. Suggest making sure you realize how much youโre making at a time. Followed the instructions and had no issues. Would have opted to of mixed less than the instructions provided given the small area as I coating. Thinning with 91% alcohol helped a lot with coverage. I used a paint brush and canโt speak to how well a roller works.

this company doesn't know what they're doing
I am so frustrated with this manufacturer, I ordered one and it arrived charcoal gray as expected, my painter required more, so I reordered the exact same product, charcoal gray, my painter arrived to discover it was clear even though the box said charcoal gray, I returned number two, trip to UPS, and reordered charcoal gray again, it arrived today, the box and the product is once again clear. another trip to UPS. someone at this company apparently can't read, I think this company owes me a free "CHARCOAL GRAY" product to compensate me for having to pay my painter for another trip and two trips to UPS. I'm reluctant to order again, but we already started the project with this product. what should I do?

Worked well for my water fountain
Must follow directions or it will set up on you before you can use it all. Do not mix in air bubbles. If you follow the directions this stuff works very well.

No directions
This gets 3 stars, there were no directions in the box. I contacted seller, No response. I went on YouTube, thankfully found an easy to follow video. Itโs VERY important to make small batches because the material hardens very quickly once itโs mixed together.

not a good product
I have bought 3 packages of this and can say its inconsistant. If you leave it in a tin or plastic cup when mixed it will go off very quick but when mixed and used on wood it takes a very long time to set some times 2 hours to set. This makes no sense. This was when it was 18 degrees so not a cold day. I also find the hardner they send you is less than needed. your suposed to mix it at 50 50 %. But I find myself running out of hardner but still have half of tin of grey paint left. They seem to not fill the tin with enough trying to save costs. I feel this is cheating the customer. They could have sent you more hardner just in case you needed more to make a quicker drying mix but shame they have not done this...
