Two things: 1) Long enough for everything I've needed them for, usually longer. 2) for the 1-2 cases where I needed longer, I just stuck two of them together to make a longer one. Put one through the slot in the other one and stick down 1/2-3/4" length of velcro to connect them together. 6" Seems like the best size for most purposes.

Do these hold up outdoors?

I have not tried them outdoors but they seem to be pretty durable velcro. The temp and other factors may effect them more and make them less likely to last long term.

are these easy to undo and take off?

Yea they are easy to undo and take off. The fuzzy part of the Velcro is a shorter pile. It still sticks nicely, but is easy to adjust.

Can these be used to hold up t shirt sleeves?

If you mean hold the sleeves above your elbows, no they are not long enough to wrap around your arms, if you mean hold it up like rolled up sleeves not unless you punch a hole in the sleeves to loop the strap through, if that doesn’t answer your question, that means I didn’t understand the question
