Spotlight is good quality. The big problem is fitting it to a wall. It needs a special junction box (presumably the one illustrated in the assembly instructions which is specifically designed for the fittings supplied with the spotlight). When ordering the spotlight the need for a junction box is not mentioned, nor is it shown in the details on the Amazon website, therefore the assumption is that it can be fitted in the same way as a normal UK spotlight. THIS IS NOT THE CASE.

Nothing to dislike it does the job it’s supposed to do and alerts you when you are away from home .Very clear images .

Never installed, turned up in a bashed box containing something that had clearly already been wired in and thrown back in the box. Does not include all that you need to install it, no junction box. Avoid.

The unit is not designed to secure against a wall without first installing a junction box of certain size to fit a supplied (mounting) cross bar. The junction box is mandatory in fitting yet is not included! Wiring is US colours.

Needs a junction box for fitting to wall via bracket. Junction box not included and could not find a suitable one anywhere!

I had to send these lights back because I could not source the bracket I needed and even though I contacted the retailer and the manufacturer I could not determine that they were suitable for UK voltage and electrical standards. Apart from that they looked well designed and probably would have done a good job in countries they were intended for.

Received second hand item, box had been opened, light obviously connected up then disconnected packed up and returned. Extremely annoyed especially as this is not a cheap product and took weeks to arrive!

First of all, I am extremely skeptical about reviews I read online. Nowadays, I never know which reviews are legitimate and which ones are fake, just to pump the company’s reputation up. I guarantee this review is 100% real! I purchased my light in a hurry, at the last minute, and received it the next day as promised. It was definitely much nicer than what some of the other reviews I read said about it. It was beautiful and the color was exactly what I wanted. I feel it is sturdier and much better quality than the lights I looked at in person at my local hardware stores. We hired a professional to install it and it worked very well in the beginning. But, for some reason the light began to act up. It took a while to locate a phone number since the light brand is known as Leonlite and the website does not work. But when I went onto the website for Torchstar, I was able to locate a phone number. My call was answered by a very pleasant young lady. I asked for tech-support and she told me she would help me. After explaining my problem and her asking me only two or three questions at the most, reviewing the settings on the light, and a brief hold so she could consult her manager, she took down my information and told me she would get back to me with some answers. As promised, she emailed me back within an hour or so, telling me that they would gladly exchange my light for a new one. I did not have to go through any more troubleshooting, they were more than willing to take my original light back and figure it out on their own time. This is the type of service I expect when spending my hard-earned money. No hassles, no doubts, just great customer service and a willingness to please their customers. I would gladly recommend this particular model and any other product this company manufactures to anyone that asks. Thank you Torchstar. Your service is greatly appreciated!

I installed two of these. A two head and a three head light. The installation took about 20 minutes each and included removing the old non-LED spotlights, cleaning the install site, installing, and weatherproofing. These lights do not come with silicone to seal the wall installation point, so be sure and get a $4 tube of outdoor silicone sealant before starting. The directions seemed pretty straight forward, although I must admit to only briefly skimming over them until I got to the operating instructions, as the installation is VERY straight forward. Cut power, test for power, connect white to white using included wirenut, repeat for black to black, attach both grounds (green from wall and light) to bracket, and install the mounting screw. Seal the joint between the light base and wall with silicone sealant. Make sure to leave about an inch unsealed at the bottom of the wall installation site to allow any moisture that might get in to drain out. Light works very well and is VERY bright. I am thinking about getting a couple more of these to cover the side and front of the house as well.
