Great Full-Feature Timer
Great timer! Has everything one could want---minutes/seconds, hours/minutes. Easy to set, nice appearance, nice ring tone, light, vibrator. Also has a clip so you can take it with you and a magnet so you can keep it near the stove. Best one that has all these features!

So far, so good
Years ago, I bought a timer that had heaps of functions I wanted, like a five minute warning. When you have something with lots of functions that you don't use every day, however, you forget how to use it. It came with a large page of instructions in tiny print. Also, for some reason, the batteries drained quickly even when it wasn't being used regularly.Battery life is important, so it's a little early for me to review this, but as my headline says, so far, so good. I'm using it as a meditation timer (time for me to get back into that) and I wanted something that would do it by light—for me, meditating while knowing that at any second a loud alarm is going to go off produces enough anxiety to cancel out the benefits of meditating. In the mid 1980s while I was living in Japan I stayed at a place that had a true cascading alarm. I say "true" to distinguish from the ones I find in America, for which "cascading" means frequency of the sound, not the volume. There are better meditation timers than this one, but their prices are exorbitant. I'm using the light as the alarm on this and if you position it right it's bright enough for closed eyes to register, though outside on a sunny day that wouldn't hold true. The most negative review I've seen here on this one is the one that says it's "junk" because the buttons are too easy to press for it to be carried in a pocket while in use. That may be true, but the clip is strong enough for it to be attached to clothing or even the bill of a cap.Small criticism: The switches on the back you use to determine which mode it will use for the alarm are very small and fingernail dependent. Those of us with "man hands" my have a little trouble with them, but unless you're changing the settings often this shouldn't detract from your experience with this timer.

Works great
I bought 2 and they both work great. The problem of the little switches on the back is really not a problem . being small and even with the back prevents them from accidently being moved. Good design. I'm very hard of hearing and I wear one on an arm band with just the light and vibrator on. Fantastic. The only small dislike is that it shows the alarms when setting. If you hold the setting button down to rapid advance the setting it only shows the alarm once. Great product, well worth the price.

How noisy do you want it??
Being a bit hard of hearing, high frequencies seem to escape my attention, so most timers like this just don't do it for me. These were no exception. I have a hard time hearing the ringing unless I am quite near them and am facing them when they go off. Could have been very disappointing. However, these have the added attraction of also having a small flashing light and a strong vibration. I have found that if I place them on a plate or a metal or plastic base or even almost any hard surface, the vibration really gets my attention.I really do recommend these if hearing the high pitched ring of most timers escapes you. These might really meet your needs. They do meet mine.

Good for student during test
Helps student keep track of time for homework or slow down during a test. On silent. but can turn on the lights. Fast, small. Comes with a flip so it stands up or can clip onto something thin.

Not what I wanted...
Not what I wanted, I assume it was my mistake. I needed a small timer that I could use as a “silent” alert to control my time while in meetings or when I don’t want to disturb others... so i went with this because of the “vibration” mode... LOL... this mode is the noisiest... the light alert mode does not work for me either since I don’t want others to notice... fortunately it was perfect for my wife to use in her fitness class... so instead of returning it, she took it... the same happened when I bought my pickup truck... now I am the one driving the sedan... but she is happy and that is what counts.

Works pretty well. Used as a work break / meditation timer
I like the simple design of the device. I use it for timing work breaks (pomodoro tomato system) and meditation sessions. So I would say I use this daily to time 5+ minute sessions up to 10 times or more. It works pretty well and I will likely continue using it until it stops working. The vibration is decently strong to catch your attention when it vibrates against a table or metal surface. I don't use the light function as much, so can't say much there. Same with the actual sound as it's a bit distracting/too jarring for my use and purposes. I've had my device for almost 10 months and just recently, the hours/minutes switch button (what switches it from hours/minutes to minutes/seconds) stopped working properly on my device. I could feel the click of the switch yet the display would not change. I ended up opening up the device/screws to set the switch correctly. (This could be due to wear / tear but i don't switch this that often, so i assume it's because the plastic switch is weak). Given how this is, I will have to either open up the device now whenever i need to make this switch or just keep it on minutes/seconds.
