Comfort and style!
These are my second pair of Dansko clogs and I am a customer for life! I also have the Calla model, which I love but has unfortunately been discontinued. I have never owned a standard "professional", but have tried on many and found the Kelsey to be a nice alternative for someone looking for a slightly sportier model while not compromising performance or comfort. In short, I like these shoes and would recommend them with one reservation. They are more fitted than some model clogs I have tried, which can be a plus. However, as a result, the band across the top of the foot is a little too tight and can become uncomfortable by the end of the day. For that reason, I would recommend these with reservation to those who may have a higher arched foot. I have had a little luck stretching them out, but it is something to keep in mind. Otherwise, great shoe!PROS: -bottom is rubber, softer than traditional wooden bottoms on other models - makes for springy comfortable walking! -around the back has an area of elastic so it is more form-fitting than only leather backs -more snug fit so your heel doesn't slip with each step, as with some clogs -slightly more stylish looking than professional line!CONS: -band across top may be too tight for some

Clogs flaked in the first 15 minutes of wearing them?
Just off the phone with customer service and am awaiting my replacement pair, in hopes they do not have the same problem. It's odd since I have owned at least 6 pairs of Dansko clogs over time. These are what I need (the lower sports heal) to do my work and not twist an ankle like I do with my regular Dansko clogs. I had a like pair I have worn for 6 years solid and they just broke down last week. So, I really hope the next pair last. Also kinda sucks you need to print out your own return labels for a defective Item? I don't own a printer and live about a 20 mile drive to a print type store. Here's to hoping they are worth all this? Other than these clogs I have never had a problem with anything bought through amazon. Lets hope this Replacement pair can last more than 15 minutes and be more like my last pair. And I Still have to find a way to print a return lable for the Defective pair. Yes, somewhat of a disappointment.Got the replacement clogs in, worked in them one day, so far so good.. if It Stays this way .... I will again have happy feet at work!~(now to print the darn return label)Best of luck when you order these you get a pair that was not painted with some odd finish! I do like all my other Dansko quite a lot...

Great shoe for work
This is my second pair of the same shoe. I wear a 9 and ordered a size 40 in black. They fit a little more loose than I like to wear my shoes, but I bought my first pair in a store and was told this is how the shoe is supposed to fit. I bought my first pair 2 yrs ago for a 2 wk trip to Europe. I knew I would be walking a lot and I was so glad I had these. I wore them with dark jeans and the shoes looked like boots under my jeans. I took a pair of slide on leather clogs, but never wore them. I wore these for 8+hrs daily, two weeks straight and walked all over Paris and Rome. When I returned home, they became my work shoes. I work 12hr shifts as a nurse and it has been about 21months since I first wore them. The only place that has not held up is the soft material on the edge at the back of one of the shoes. The stitching has come undone a little, but is only noticeable when pulling my foot out- I just have to hold the material in place with my finger, instead of using my other foot to hold the shoe in place and pull my foot out. These are comfortable Dansko clogs. I have tried on the more popular style (what most people like to wear at my hospital) that is more rigid and was told, " you have to get used to them, then you will love them". But, I want to like them from the start and I did with this clog.

Mixed Results
I ordered this shoe twice. My first order took at least ten days to arrive, but I thought the wait would be worth it. I was wrong. I wore the shoe one day for a total of five or six hours and to my utter dismay found that the black vinyl covering across the tops of both shoes had cracked and in some places peeled off. What a disappointment. Not knowing whether Amazon would allow me to return the shoes, I called customer service. The man I spoke with offered an exchange; I could return the shoes for another pair. He said that the cracking/peeling I'd described was not unheard of. Skeptical, I nonetheless agreed. My replacement pair arrived a day or two later and so far they are holding up well. I've worn them on and off for two or three weeks. Another reviewer mentioned her knees feeling sore or funny after wearing these shoes and I can say that might also be the case for me. That said, I still find them comfortable (for a few hours at a time) and great to wear with jeans, corduroys and dress slacks. I would, however, advise anyone ordering these shoes to pay attention the first day or so. Just in case you receive a defective first pair as I did.

First pair of Danskos
Never bought danskos coz the heel always seemed too high. Am working in a job where i stand and walk alot and my feet were killing me. I searched on Amazon and found these and when i got them I loved them immediately. I normally wear a size 9 and they were a bit snug in the instep. I am used to wearing socks with my shoes. I couldn't wear socks with these. So i wore them bare footed and thought for sure i would get blisters. First time wearing them i got no blisters and they were so comfortable...nothing hurt when i got home. No back pain, no foot pain. They give you a very comfortable walk. The heel is not tall at all even though it says it is 1 3/4". It is the same as my Merrell clogs. I loved them so much i ordered another pair but just a size larger and those are fine too. So if you feel that your regular size may be a bit snug (i think they run a tad small) then you may get a larger size. I think the larger size will allow you to wear socks with your shoes. I think with the original size that is snug you can wear some anklet hose and that would work. Gonna try it. Love my first pair of Danskos and so do my feet!!
