Good price point on the only scouring pad you will need. I've used these for years. Never scratched any plates, containers, or pots/ pans. I recall when growing up, my mom had the steel wool scouring pads--little pieces would sometimes poke into my fingers!!! Although these are strong and get the job done, they are gentle on the hands. This brand is the best; I've used grocery store brands--less money but they don't work as well or last as long.

Been using this Scotch 3M Scrubber since it first came on the market in the 60s, although every so often I would try new products that would come out from other companies, especially the ones that attached the green scrubber to a sponge, and I found nothing matched the properties of the Scotchbrite pad. The most important being its ability clean delicate glass and silverware without scratching but when you applied a little more pressure, it's scrubbing power was phenomenal, so you could clean almost anything with it. The second and equally important property is that it does not hold water and dries very fast compaired to cloths or especially sponges, which hold water and which are breading grounds for all kinds of bacteria, whereas the green pad is always dry in the morning, nowhere for bacteria to grow exponentially like they do in a sponge. Never going to give up this incredible American-invented/American made invention.

These are awesome for quickly cleaning my gas stovetop. To make it easier to get around the elements, use a fresh scrubber, and use one or two fingers to scrub (much less tiring), I cut them into 1 inch by 2 inch squares. The fresh piece is mighty to remove baked on burnt oils and can be tossed after. The smaller piece gets around the tiny edges much more easily, saves time and your hands because you don’t have to grip a big piece of scouring pad. With this method you can keep others guessing how on earth your gas range is so clean. Just use regular shears—not your good ones, to cut the pads.

My husband always says to me that I clean the stove top better than him. He keeps asking what my secret to cleaning off cooked on spills. These pads do the trick without scratching the surface. They’re perfect for ceramic floor grout too. I find that I grab these pads more often than not when cleaning.

I have been using these pads for years but when purchased in area stores could only purchase in small numbers. I looked on Amazon and was so happy to find the larger numbers available. I love these because they are not abrasive but are durable and can be used on dishes as well as pots and pans. In a pinch, I have even put them in the dishwasher to sanitize them and use for longer periods of time. I wouldn't use any other kind.
