Q: Does this smell like 'true cedar'...walking in the forest(?) or cheap and chemically smell? tired of wasting money! mahalo*

I purchased this product to re saturate my cedar wood blocks and found it was very weak and did not produce the results I was looking for. I see in another answer that a lady uses it daily like an air fresher and it may be good for that. If however you are looking for a longer lasting effect that you will use with wood I suggest a "real cedar" oil product. Costs initially more but, not compared to the per oz. price, is highly concentrated and absorbs into wood, and for this use is very effective.

Q: What is the liquid's color from?

I don't know for certain, but since it comes from a tree, I would suspect it's a natural color - like sap.

Q: Do you need to have cedar in your closet to use this? Or can I use alone?

We have cedar in our closets so therefore we need to refresh the scent at least once a year. if you don't have cedar in your closet and want to have the scent of cedar I would recommend that you get some wood blocks from like a walmart store or where ever the cedar wood is sold and spray it on the wood every so often to acheive the cedar scent in your clost. You will get the same results.
