GrocoARG-750 Series 3/4" Raw Water Strainer w/Stainless Steel Basket

I added a 3rd strainer for my boat when I installed a new stand-alone AC unit. The strainer is easy to work with, easy to service, and easy to install. The trickiest part of the install is making sure you put the lower bracket in the right place. Servicing the strainer is easy, and with the drain plug it's a snap to empty the "bucket". While scrubbing the interior of the bucket is a little challenging, a brass toothbrush-style brush works great. Replacement parts such as strainer baskets and caps are easy to find. Solid metal construction, same strainers OEM used.

Perfect for updating old system on my boat

I like clear plastic body, can see when strainer needs cleaning. Used it on water source heat pump, condenser water loop. That is always getting clogged up. Piped 2 in parrell, and installed isolation valves. So you can clean one, while unit still running. Wish manufacture would put valves on body. Easy to pull strainer out top and clean with pulling bottom plastic rank.Would like service kit, witch is new o-rings to be listed with it. Overall very happy with strainers.

I've always had Perko strainers, I replaced my genset strainer with this one and doubt if I'll go back to Perko.

Installed three of these to replace the Sherwood brand. Better water flow and because they are top loading I no longer get air locks on my AC pump. High quality bronze cast. Easy to remove screw top if you use silicone grease. Five Star.

This strainer is far better than the one I removed. Having said that installing it was a huge pain. The brass top that fits into the brass mount that screws to the boat fits great when dry-fitting on a table out of the box. Getting the brass top of the strainer into the mount once the mount is on a wall is a whole different story. I was in a confined area, standing on my head at the time and fought with it for an hour. Finally I slightly loosened all of the bolts on the wall and got it to fit, albeit a loose fit. I ended up clamping the hoses to the wall on each side so it is secure and won’t go anywhere but a redesign in the small rectangle mount would go a long way to improve this already good product.

i using this to replace my sea ray’s older Perko sea strainer for my boats’ generator and i like the design better i used 3/4” but they have different sizesi was able to rebuild my old Perko but will use as an emergency spare

Brackets included were slightly different from the device replaced but other than that it was the exact same part
