DA31-00146E Motor Fan-BLDC DREP5020LB OEM Replacement Part for Samsung

This was a direct replacement of the original manufacturer fan motor in my 16 year old fridge. All the numbers matched except the manufacture date. This is a great replacement for a fraction of the cost of everywhere else I looked and was able to find the part number I needed. The fridge is working great now and keeping temperature better than it has in a while, hopefully the soft ice cream issues we've been having are done with now installation was simple enough, I only needed a philips screwdriver and a pair of pliers. The fan is just as quiet as it was with the original motor working.

The DA31-00146E Evaporator Fan Motor fixed my Samsung RS2T7ACRS Refrigerator. The freezer was cold but the refrigerator was not. The motor is located in the freezer side for my refrigerator not the refrigerator side which is kind of unusual. The motor has a 12 printed on it. The repair is not too difficult but you might want to watch some videos specific to Samsung.

The refrigerator side of my 2008 Samsung stopped cooling but freezer side was still working. Realized with help from several DIY YouTube videos that is was probably the evaporator fan that is malfunctioning. Ordered the correct product number and swapped out the bad fan and my old fridge is back in business. Shipping was fast and appeared to be a quality part looking identical to the part I removed. Saved a bunch of money on a repair visit and saved this old fridge from the scrapyard ! Will update this review for longevity (hopefully it lasts the remaining life of the fridge). Would order from this company again.

A perfect fit for my Samsung. Delivery was quick and no complaints. However, this thing makes a significant noise when running. Much more than the original fan. Almost sounds like metal on metal. I didn't have a choice, but to install it because the original fan stopped working completely. Hope it will last, but not holding my breath

Unfortunately, this is now the third time I’ve had to purchase/replace it because it has broken again. The most recent one only lasted 5 months, which is very disappointing. My first replacement lasted about 2 years, so I expected similar durability. The inconsistency in quality is concerning. I really wanted this product to work long-term, but based on my experience, the reliability just isn’t there.
