Very powerful. Definitely not for young kids. 2 of these could easily break your finger. Most Chinese magnets have an extra zero added on to the description. These do not.

I recently took the Grtard 1000LBS magnet fishing kit out for a test run, and it’s a solid choice for beginners or casual treasure hunters. The double‑sided neodymium magnet has a strong grip — I pulled up several metal objects from a local creek with ease. The kit includes a 65‑foot rope, gloves, and a grappling hook, which made setup straightforward and kept my hands protected. For the price, it offers a complete setup without the need to buy extras. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The magnet’s pulling force is impressive under ideal conditions, but in murky water or when snagged on debris, it can be challenging to retrieve. The included gloves are basic and not as durable as I’d hoped, so you might want to upgrade them for longer sessions. Overall, if you're looking to get into magnet fishing without a hefty investment, this kit provides good value and a fun way to explore waterways.

Magnet is decent. The rope is good the only complaint I have which I didn’t realize until I took it out is the color of the rope being red. Be prepared to be stung by yellowjackets.

Just know that through Amazon you will get exactly what you paid for and what they advertised the magnet is amazing I could not pull it Loose from my Anvil that I bought it took all the strength I had it was an awesome kit and a great surprise to get it

My grandson and I have been watching magnet fishing on YouTube and thought it would be fun to try it ourselves. I ordered a magnet from somewhere on line. It was ok, but really not the greatest. I decided to look for a stronger one and found this one here on Amazon. WOW! This thing is amazing. My grandson stuck it to the iron anvil in the garage and we could NOT GET IT OFF! Not just by pulling it anyway. We had to slide it off and it was still holding really good. This is a strong magnet. My only concern, is if it connects itself to something that is too heavy to lift out of the water (if you are magnet fishing in bodies of water) you might not be able to get your magnet back! This thing is STRONG. If you are looking for a strong, affordable magnet? This is it!

I use this magnet often because I work at a lake and help recover dropped items. It is great for small items, such as phones, AirPods, or metal framed glasses. Anything much heavier than that it seems to lack the strength to pull it up. The rope quality is terrible. The rope started to degrade after a few uses.

This magnet works great! It came with gloves and the rope is a great sturdy design!

I am giving it a 4 only because the tape around the rope comes off easily. I tied the the rope around the carabiner to make sure it did not come off. Otherwise, it was great. I do recommend leaving the thread lock on over night before using.

Purchased two of these for Christmas. Yet to use them in the water, but I can already tell they’re going to be amazing!

Our first magnet fishing experience was with this kit. The kids had a ball pulling old bit of metal from the river. Magnet is plenty powerful but perhaps not the 700lbs claimed. Regardless, for the price it's a well put together kit and has so far survived many hour being thrown into the river. Can't fault.
