Q: Couldn't find a replacement battery for our Vick's thermometer so bought it here. Why is it showing the temperature in centigrade?

I too have a Vick's thermometer. It can be set for Centigrade or Fahrenheit. Best to refer to the instructions or go online to read how to change the settings. I'm glad your's is working, my thermometer died after 3.5 years.

The description says it means shelf life and that they won't leak for 5 years. The actual life of the battery depends on the device you are using it in. There's no way to tell how long that would be with any battery depending on current draw of the device you put them in.
