Do you actually receive 12 gloves? the price doesn't seem to match its drawstring-less brother, the regular temres 282.

No, you actually receive a single pair of gloves. I ordered them two weeks ago and they were exactly what I expected. This product’s rating is low because the title is inaccurate, however if you expect a single pair of gloves, it’s a 5* product imo!

Large vs medium size? Is there any actual measurements for comparison?

The large was too large. I'd try the medium size first.
