The CHAOS Cure: Clean Your House and Calm Your Soul in 15 Minutes

The C.H.A.O.S. be gone
Thanks to FlyLady (Marla Cilley), whom I got familiar with about 6 years ago and followed on-and-off, my home is much more peaceful and organized. Not having an example from my own home - Mother was a hoarder of Depression Era - I did not know how to keep things organized and how to get rid of what I don't need. Then, there was the Father, who ordered me, the only daughter, to keep the house spotless. This book, THE C.H.A.O.S. CURE, with a wit and lighthearted approach makes chores easier to handle. The tips to use every day, every month, and every year - are lifesavers. For example, the month of January is forming a habit of Cleaning the Sink. Seemingly insignificant? Hmmm... You will never know until you actually do it, and see your life change before your very eyes.I did not want to believe this, until I walked into the kitchen and the clean, stainless steel sink welcome me with a smile on my face. A pot of coffee was already brewing (I auto-preset the night before). My spouse walked in to get a cup of coffee and for the first time in a long time - smiled! We both are very tired of COVID-19 and working with schools on zoom in a small apartment. But then, there is FlyLady, with another habit: A load a day keeps Mt. Wash-More away. It really helps to have clean clothes freshly hanged in the closet. And so many other helpful habits. The emails and daily Teatime with a video (before COVID, I sometimes listened to it on my 1/2 hour-lunch break in my car!) are a welcome stress release, as if I were listening/talking to a friend. The book is a nice closure to the day. Re-reading it is a must. The easy language makes this book a joy to read.

Disappointing
The book is okay, but to me was a big disappointment. I'm reading Sink Reflections and was enjoying it so much. So encouraging...that I decided to buy her second book, hoping to find the same or even better content. But there is no comparison it even seems written by somebody else and even the quality of the paper is not good at all...Some topics just don't fit in (like cooking recipes). Yes, there are always maybe some useful tips but overall I would not recommend it. Really disappointed.

Fantastic Book
I loved the C.H.A.O.S. Cure by Marla Cilley. It is an easy read. I have read Sink Reflections another good book by her but I really enjoyed this one. I love the fact that you can do anything in 15 minutes. The use of sticky notes is ingenious. I find it very energizing and I love the feeling of not being behind when you use routines and weekly blessings. She seems to know what you might ask before you ask it and it is answered in the book. Her tips are invaluable. I would recommend this book to everyone that is looking for a way to get their home and life organized.

Fun, Engaging, Beautifully Encouraging
The book is as kind and easy to follow as FlyLady herself. I could literally hear her grace flowing off the pages. Full of helpful hints, this surprisiginly fun quick how to guide had me smiling. I loved the illustrations and the encouragement. It was exactly perfect for a beginning FlyBaby.

A real treasure
I enjoyed reading this book and also had a ball while putting the exercises in practice. As a result, I now have a much cleaner home. I highly recommend this book.
