How deep is the basket? It looks not too deep to hold enough.

I measured it at about 0.85 inches. That was a qu8ck sloppy measurement with a tape measure. The quality was much better than I had expected.

Is product made in China?

I assume it is made in China. I no longer have the original packaging and there is nothing stamped on the drainer. Regardless, we’ve been very happy with the product since purchasing it a year ago.
