Got these for my iPad, phone, and cell phone cords to protect them from my kitty. Did not deter at all. It really just attracted more attention to them. She chewed right through them. They were terribly difficult to put on. After spending an evening twisting cords round and round—and round, got them on. Will be giving the remaining cords to her to play with as they are of no use to me.

They are meant for your earbuds that plug in - cords or any that small. I didn't understand that when I ordered them. They are also rather short.

My cat has a tendency of chewing wires for some reason. Since I have a bad habit of forgetting to pick up my chargers, I wrapped them in these and my cat won’t touch my cell phone chargers now. I watched her try to pick 1 up shortly after wrapping them and she quickly dropped it! She apparently didn’t like the feeling of the plastic on her teeth and gums. I’m so happy I finally found something to stop my cat from chewing my cell phone chargers!

The product is great for wrapping thin cables together. I use it to cinch the left and right cables of my earbuds together to create a tighter fit around the head. For this, the product is excellent and you get a lot of the spiral wraps for the money.The issue is that this is the *last* product I would use for preventing pets chewing on the cable. As a spiral wrap it might prevent rodents from gnawing but a carnivore's sharp fangs will go right through the wrap.

I used this for my very thin cables that my cat liked to chew. with one layer of these cables he chewed through it. once I applied 4 layers he is unable to chew through it. applying them is very time consuming. you have to wind them around the cable. I just do that while watching decent for the price I would buy them again
