I just bought the scale and paired it with my phone. It has my data, why won't it display body fat and other measurements besides weight?

I did all the same stuff, installed the App, followed the directions in the video, stepped up with dry bare feet and stood on the scale until the display flashed 3 times.  When everything works there is a small animation that moved from left to right across the display.  Often the display flashes 3 times and I get the message that only the weight was captured.  I tried troubleshooting the connection but that didn't help.  I reset the scale by removing the batteries, that didn't help.  Sometimes it works fine but more often it only captures my weight.  Its very disappointing.

How in the world would this scale be able to tell you an accurate BMI?

BMI is nothing more than a height to weight ratio. A bodybuilder who is 6 feet tall, weighs 250 lb, and has a 4% body fat would still fall into the obese category. Body fat percentage is a better individual indicator of body composition. BMI (body mass index) is an effective tool for large population evaluations. The bodybuilder example is rare. 99% of people falling into the obese or overweight categories would also have high body fat percentages.

How do you get bluetooth to turn on on the scale itself? The bluetooth symbol is not showing.

Depends on whether you have android or IOS software. Both location and Bluetooth need to be turned on for Android 6.0 and later. Download the VeSyncFit app, you should see a plus symbol in the top right corner, press this and then step on the scale with bare feet. Add the device name that appears, keep standing on the scale for 5-10 seconds. Pairing is successful when your final weight appears on the VeSyncFit app. Wait for the zeros to stop flashing before getting off the scale.

How do you switch from lb to kg? Button on the back?
