What size battery do you need for the remote control?

Remote is AA and car is rechargeable but you do have to take battery out of car with screw driver to charge. But honestly it was the best remote control car I have purchased for kids

Compromised item

I ordered green car, but i received red! The car seems like used. Box packing was torn with a big whole like someone forced to see the item inside! My kid likes it so cant return else would return immediately! Seems to be working so far but doubt for how long now!Edit: one of the battery is also dead!
