Really good deal

This is one of the more easy to install wraps I have worked with. You can easily apply the necessary tightening pressure at every tangent of your coils, and this makes for a properly tight wrap that will add to the longevity of it. It also does not fray nearly as much as others I've used. It's a little brittle and I've only just installed it, so I cannot be confident that it will last the life of the car, so to speak. The downsides are that with this type of fiberglass material you will get pricked and the itch will be there for at least three days after. I found that even with long pants, long socks, long shirt, etc., I still had an itch condition on hands, arms, and legs, basically anywhere I had the pipes resting while I handled the material. I feel that even if I pre-soaked this wrap in water it would still be a problem. I suppose this can't be overcome unless you were to get a silica based wrap (which would still prick you but not nearly as much). Keep in mind you can spend hundreds of dollars on wrap that will only cover a set of longtubes whereas this can provide the same coverage for a fraction of the cost, so pick your poison. All told, it gets 4 stars across the board from me and I feel it's a fair rating. It's a good wrap for the price. Just make sure you where eye protection as well as clothing protection, and if you can where a surgeons mask or dust mask. Better yet, a face shield.

Just finished to wrap the bike’s exhaust. Exactly what I expected.

Works good on mini excavator muffler. Really helped on heat in engine compartment. Used spray coating to seal and small tie wire to hold it tight. Stainless cable ties were to short for this application but put two together. Only came with four, reason for the tie wire. Already had some so saved on buying extra cable ties.

Second go around with this purchase. Still as good as the first.

Works well for heat and changed the look of the exhaust. Unfortunately it smells very chemically and the color is wearing off after just 2 days. 3 stars because it helps with the heat, but cosmetically it’s not holding up.

I did the installation of this on my Buell XB12XT this weekend. I'm not going to repeat what others have said, but I will emphasize two things: - Wear protective garments and a dust mask! This is fiberglass tape - it will create dust. - Don't start the engine until the bike (or whatever) is outside! The initial off-gassing is intense. You probably don't want anybody downwind of it, either. I didn't wet the tape. I installed it with the pipe on the bike, and I took the chin spoiler/fairing off beforehand. I cut one piece of tape and wrapped the front pipe down to the join. My front pipe piece was roughly eight wraps, I think. I used zipties at each end to hold it while I worked. Then I taped the remainder of the header from just above the outlet joint, captured the end of the front pipe tape, and then up toward the rear exhaust. I ended up about an inch shy of the exhaust port when I ran out of tape. It'll take a good bit of fussing and adjusting the wrap to get it to fit and look right. You'll want to feed several wraps of tape loosely around the outlet - to - rear pipe before you start wrapping it - the roll won't fit between the pipe and the engine until you're well along in the job.
