Pros: Very easy to use. Nice display. This company makes the same thermometer for other brands, and this is less expensive. And you don't need disposable pieces to use it with different people (e.g., a throw-away barrier like on one you put in the mouth or in the ear).Cons: The only reason we are returning it is we took temperatures multiple times with two people with this device, an in-the-mouth thermometer, and an ear thermometer. All recorded different temperatures. All are more for trend than to give an precise measurement. Of the three, we felt the forehead was the least beneficial, despite that it did not need disposable protection that costs money over time.
