Best coffee, but not fresh enough from Amazon
This is an excellent coffee but it needs to be fresh. I thought this would be a great item to sign up for subcribe & save, but when I got my beans they were already more than 5 weeks old. This is not ideal for the best taste. Usually 2-3 weeks is as old as I think fresh beans should be or else they're not fresh anymore. If you get this from Stumptown its usually only a few days or week old when it arrives and its delicious.

Not good at all
Highly recommended from several sources but it's the second worst coffee I've had next to Maxwell House. Weird non-flavor happening - doesn't even taste like coffee. Can't believe they charge this much for this stuff....

Mild coffee. Tastes like warm water.
Very dissipointed with this coffee. I got a new burr grinder hoping for rich flavor. But no matter how strong I made it. This tastes like dirty dish water. If you like a very mild lite roast. This is for you. I would not call it medium by any means.

Buyer beware: roasted six months ago
This is hands down one of my favorite coffee roasters, however if you are looking to use it fresh with an espresso machine, do not purchase it from Amazon. It’s mid August, and the batch I got was roasted back in February. There’s almost no aroma or flavor. Huge bummer because this could have been super convenient for me.

Quality control issues, might have been expired. Don't buy.
This roast has been good in the past, but this last delivery was Gawd Awful. I will take this off my future subscriptions. I would not recommend at all. I am not sure if it was past; I threw the package away when I put it in the grinder. Tastes weird, washed out, old, watery, some of the worst I have ever had. The second cup I tried to brew was actually worse than the first.

Does not smell nor taste like coffee!
Total garbage. I had better coffee in the Army in Vietnam. Wait that coffee was good especially with a malaria pill, but let me add I have had better coffee from vending machines late at night in the university. The whole beans were roasted in October of 2025 (6 months ago). It has no aroma from a freshly opened bag and no aroma during brewing. Taste is close to hot water, the entire brewed batch was poured down the sink and the rest of the coffee beans ceremoniously dumped in the garbage. Save your money this is not coffee not even close! Maybe I will retrieve it and use it to clean the white walled tires on my truck. Then again maybe I won't!

Don't buy this coffee: sour, stale, blech
I made one cup with this and now have a bag sitting in my cupboard. I guess I'll throw it out. It was sour and stale and truly awful. Who gave this coffee good reviews? Did I get a bum bag? Yuck. Go to Koffee Kult or Lavazza. Trust me.

Was excited to try, unfortunately ended up lacking in quality, aroma, and taste
I was excited to try Stumptown Coffee due to many rave reviews of being great coffee. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. I recently received the Holler MTN whole bean organic coffee and noticed it was not fresh, had been roasted close to 4 months ago (roast date on pkg. 08/26/24) and has an enjoy by date of 12/24/24 (next week). Regarding the package, one of the reusable tabs to close the bag was broken off/missing. There was very minimal aroma when opening the package and while brewing the coffee. Upon tasting a brewed cup, it highly lacked flavor (barely any) and aroma. Due to all of this I am disappointed in the quality and flavor of this coffee. If I had received a fresh batch of coffee though, the quality and taste may have been more appealing.
