Q: Can it be mounted on a Plasterboard ceiling using the correct type fittings?

We fitted into a plaster board ceiling but put wooden batons on the other side of the plaster board. This was easy to do because we had access into the roof. (Bungalow) The item is quite light weight and very easy to fix and adjust so you should be able to fit using the appropriate fixings. I hope this helps.

Yes there is a set of filters included.

Q: Is this British Standard?

Is has a kite mark I’m sure. It’s too high for me to reach. It works well.
