Excellent Ear Buds
These ear buds are STURDY, yes had to shout it out. Because of ear problems I sleep with ear buds to block out internal noise, meaning I can damage or destroy a set of ear buds in a matter of weeks due to twisting and/or turning in my sleep. The coil of the ear buds becomes tangled, broken, or disconnected from the ear inserts. Due to the design of these ear buds, my first set lasted about 8 months even through entanglements, twisting and knots. I ordered a second set back in April, 2 pairs at the price of a little over $17 is a great value for your money. Although the company offers a 5-year warranty on their product I chose not to use the warranty, my use is outside normal wear and tear. Also, the sound quality is excellent, the cord length is just right.

Awesome. Coming from $350.00 earbuds
Coming from $350.00 earbuds (multiple i.e. pairs at that cost (warranty replacements), and definitely nothing made by beats or dre) I was worried about the quality being a steep decline. I've also done a little of over 20 years in professional mixing and mastering, so I've seen and worked with quite a few different types of earbuds/headphones (in ear and over) at various price points/ranges over the years. But this review will not be comparing these ULIX headphones, to in-ear headphones ten times their sell price; to me that sounds like comparing a Toyota to a Porsche. Critically speaking, the mid/low end is a bit muddy, but at the "value for money" I was pleasantly surprised by several things. My experience at this price point was (realistically) expecting a hollow, tin-can, thin sounding set of earbuds, but these headphones have a respectable balance between the low, mid (a little low/thin), and high ranges (with a predisposition towards the low end, but definitely not flat frequency). Not only is the sound quality very respectable (again at the price point) (which could be argued as $5.00, but more on that later); I have bought $10.00 to $35.00 earbuds that can't hold a candle to these. The cord seems quite durable (fiber woven) and the tips of the in-ear inserts are magnetized. Obviously, these aren't noise canceling/cancellation headphones (nor do I remember the seller even making those claims). In my opinion, expecting a $10.00 set of earbuds to come with "noise cancellation," is like expecting a $1.00 Big Mac to come with bacon. 100.00 is more realistic if you're looking for noise cancellation (I don't even think $10.00 noise canceling headphones exist). I would argue that I received something better than noise cancellation though, as these ship with an additional spare set of the exact same headphones! In my opinion, these have set a new standard/expectation for budget headphones, and certainly the best $10.00 ($20.00, or $30.00) I have ever bought. I would classify these as a good set of in-ear "listening" or gym headphones and a great value for the money.

Comfortable, and nice quality, but...
Ordered two pairs at the end of August, 2021. TL;DR: It seems good if you're just sitting or working at your computer. Cord noise is too much for anything approaching active use (e.g., exercise). Not as robust as I had hoped for, but my standards for that may be excessive. Still have to start testing the second pair. I mostly used the first pair at my desktop, although I sometimes went to bed with them in. I frequently toss and turn in my sleep, so I'm not particularly surprised that the left earbud has ceased functioning at the end of February 2022. So...about six months. I wouldn't be surprised if this usage were considered abuse not covered under warranty. I could be wrong, but oh well. I don't intend to use the warranty, since I still have the spare set. I just wanted to share my experience a little. While they functioned, I found these earbuds reasonably comfortable. Cord length is all right, about 24 inches before the divide? I once owned an old pair of Audio-Technica headphones in the past, so I have some frame of reference for what "excessive" cord length might be like, even if I liked having that extra length. Each set comes with interchangeable ear pieces for different sized ear holes, and the mid-sized one works best for me. I'll abstain from commenting overly much on the sound quality, since I'm not an audiophile, but I did find the bass rather nice, and I enjoyed a range of different instrumental music genres (much of it from, or otherwise inspired by, video games). Mostly rock, metal, synth, orchestral, and symphonic stuff. It also worked pretty well for watching videos and playing video games. I didn't bother trying to use the mic, though, so I can't comment on that. While most users would find the effective sound isolation a plus, and I've occasionally benefited from being able to insulate myself from the outside world on occasion, it's more of a mixed bag for me. Generally, I prefer to retain my situational awareness. Sometimes, I can hear the cord moving, and on occasion, I've also heard air blown by a fan moving over the cord, somehow. If I had to guess, this is just the nature of earbuds with such an effective seal, as sound waves are vibrations anyway. I'll be breaking out the second pair, as of March 2022, and abstain from sleeping with them in. Theoretically, this should help the second pair will last longer. If possible, I will try to revisit and update this review in the future. Hopefully, not anytime soon.

Wow. Great sound, Sturdy build, Reasonable price, 5 year Warranty. Very Impressed.
I use ear buds at my PC so I can listen to music and play games without it bothering my wife, and I've gone through many over the years. I've used many different brands, and so far the UliX Rider is the best I've had. I've had $350 headphones, Apple airpod Pro's, Sony, Phillips, you name it. I'm hearing things in songs I've never been able to make out before. It's like putting on glasses for the first time, except for your ears. What makes it even better is the build quality and the price. $26 bucks for something that sounds this good, and built this tough? I'll take that all day long.

Okay
OK. The microphone is not durable as just in one month, they broke after constant use. However, they do sound good as they have an adjustable earbud fit. I have found that the cord is long and flexible. Making them able to fit in compact places such as the box they come in. The cost of these is a little overpriced. The compatibility for these is good as it is a aux cord, that can be used for pratically everything. Overall an okay product.

Goid quality earphones
I conduct surveys by telephone and need hands free while entering responses on my laptop. The Unix Rider wired earbuds are high quality earphones. I plug them directly into my cellphone audio port. Great sound and microphone quality. Especially like the braided cord which holds up longer than the other style cords. The ear pieces are magnetized, which keeps them from tangling in the cord. The ear pieces are comfortable BUT fall out of my ears! I need to try the larger silicone replacement ear stoppers to see if that helps. I wish the earphone section was shaped differently or larger to hold on to while placing them in each ear. Seems like an exceptional product.

Dependable earbuds
I use earbuds at work daily, and I am pretty rough on them. I go through 4-6 pairs a year because they eventually get shorts in them and have to be replaced. I had never heard of UliX before purchasing these. I wasn't expecting much considering they have a standard sized cord that is wrapped in a fabric material. So far this is the longest lasting pair of earbuds I have used in the past 4 years. Incredible. I've had them for a little over 4 months and haven't noticed any signs of wear. The braided nature of the cord seems to make them less likely to kink up. The plug connector, which is where most of mine have failed over the years, is low profile and strong. I think its small footprint also has played a part in their longevity. The sound quality is great for my purposes. They even cancel out some of the outside noise when you wear them. I haven't personally used the call and volume controls, but I would suspect they are on point as well. What I really enjoy is that they back their products with a 5 year warranty. That says a lot about their faith in their products. They also include a nice little (seemingly?) handwritten note thanking me for my support of their business. It is little things like that that really set this pair of earbuds apart from the pack. I'm a fan of UliX, and as long as these hold up or their warranty holds true, I will be a long term customer of their brand.

False Advertising
Get ready, this is a little long winded. I have purchased two sets of these earphones. Initially, I was happy with the performance. I use them exclusively on my laptop, and occasionally, it slides off my lap. Both sets of earphones broke the connector in the exact same way. Now they barely work and I have to constantly keep pressing the connector into the computer to make the wires touch. Now, about 8 months into the second purchase, the "Tangle-free" wires and gummy and "kinky" and certainly no longer "Tangle-free". For reference, the first pair did the same thing. Today, while looking for yet another [different] pair of earphones, I caught that the set I have came with a 5 year warranty. Cool, I thought. So I contacted the company and explained the problem and said I wanted a replacement. Their response, though somewhat quick (same day) was to tell me, "Well, 'Tangle-free' only means 'Tangle-resistant'. We're not sending a replacement because the next one will probably do the same thing." I paraphrased, but only mildly. How's THAT for quality customer service. So, in short, here's my review - buy something else from some other company. Odds are, you'll be happier. Thanks for reading to the end.
