Ello DuraGlass Food Storage Glass Lunch Bowl Container - Meal Prep Container with Silicone Sleeve and Airtight Lid, 5 Cup, Cashmere Pink

These are the most incredible bowls I’ve ever used. I love that they have the beautiful silicone wraps on them and that you can put them in the microwave with them on and it doesn’t even melt them like less expensive ones do. So why do I love these beautiful bowls: • They have a nice size and they are perfect for cooking, reheating, freezing in the freezer (although you need to let them get to room temperature before using them straight out of the freezer), and holding generous portions of leftovers. • The beautiful pink cashmere silicone wrap. Genius idea and concept to make it easier to remove from the microwave without burning your hands or fingers. They are wrapped perfectly around the bowl and stay on no matter what you are using them for. Excellent design concept here as well. • Can’t forget the snap on lids that lock into place also having a silicone seal which helps so much whether cooking or taking them with you to work for lunch. These beautiful snap on lids are four clicks and sealed and they do not leak which is a much loved bonus. •The glass is the perfect weight so that it is easily used for seniors and those with disabilities or lifting issues and that’s a nice feature to have the perfect weight of glass bowls that can be used by everyone. • And of course the price is excellent for these beautiful bowls. So much so that I find myself ordering them over and over again because they make my life better whether I’m cooking or grilling or simply microwaving leftovers these bowls are fantastic and I definitely will be ordering more. They come in a variety of colors and sizes but for me personally I find this size fits all my needs the best. •Negatives - None! I have not found one single thing about these beautiful bowls that would be a negative. They are just carefully thought out and designed to make cooking or freezing or whatever you use for all kinds of kitchen needs easier and more convenient and useful. Overall thoughts - I would absolutely recommend these bowls to everyone for having checked all the right features one needs for their cooking or freezing or refrigerating needs. Definitely a 10/10 for me!! Outstanding quality, colors, design features, storage is perfect and great for meal prep and taking your food to work without fears of it leaking. All in all, a fantastic piece that I love having in my kitchen.

Ello is #1 when it comes to food containers. I’ve been using this brand for over 3 years now. I thought it was a bit expensive when I bought it from Target but after years of owning this nothing else beat this quality. It’s dishwasher safe, oven safe and, microwave safe. This is 100% leak proof in the three years that I’ve owned these. However, it is glass so always be careful. I have broken one before.

I love the Ello brand glass containers! This one is larger than the ones that come in the multipack box from the W big box store. It is dishwasher safe (lid on top rack), can go in the oven or microwave (without the lid), & stacks well with others of the same brand. Durable thick glass, doesn't stain like plastics, nor retain smells after washing. Note: this lid is interchangeable to the other large container. Perfect for large portion of leftovers, slicing up & storing an entire melon, or making a salad - either a monster size green leaf salad or egg salad. (I personally store a Greek chickpea, cucumber, onion feta salad in mine.)

Absolutely amazing & just what I was looking for!

Enough space for a nice salad, however the vacuum seal is a pain to open. I suggest opening those over the sink so the contents don’t fly everywhere. Also, be careful not to break your nails while opening.

I never and I mean, never write reviews. That’s how great this product is. I love all the ELLO products. They make food storage so easy and you can’t lose the lids because they’re color coordinated with their matching container. I have lost so many glass Pyrex lids. I am 100% ELLO from now on. This is my fourth order and I’ve ordered several sets. They are well worth the money and very high-quality.

Ello may be more expensive than other brands on Amazon but they are worth every single penny! They properly package glass items, unlike some cheaper sellers, and the product is high quality. I received some Ello food storage as a gift a couple years ago & they're still in pristine condition. These containers are perfect for batching soup, and I imagine the bowl lid would be great for fitting solids as well.

I was someone who did read the reviews before buying this. I thought that the reviews were from people having a minor inconvenience with the lid. No, this lid is the worst. The gasket is too thick, and the seal is impossible to break. I have good hand strength and this took several tries to get it open. Flipping the entire bowl upside down and using pressure to unseal the lid sometimes worked. I used it 3 times before it went in the trash because it shouldn't take 10 minutes of wrestling with a lid. Everything else is fine. It seems sturdy and it's a really big bowl.
